    #309 - lx55 ury

My Mrs spotted you this morning (08:30) going towards Huntingdon on the A14 just past the racecourse. She said it looked like you were going up and down the slip road to jump the queue of traffic ;)

    Trophy Secrets

The backs of the seats are adjustable, but the bases do not rock/tilt so they are fixed in height. If you want to reduce the height of the seat you can remove some washers from under the base to drop it by a few mm.

    n33eef in Cambridge (Scotsdales)

Hey man, no problems  I haven't had a problem with BG, they serviced the dampers and they have been perfect ever since. I was a little miffed by the price but I couldn't go anywhere else when I had them done. Looks like there is another option now with the Twingo dampers. I find if I go...

    n33eef in Cambridge (Scotsdales)

We have the annual meet, but not much else, I have been out and met up with marrow a couple of times and a chap that came over from Northampton, but that's over two years. I think there are a few more around Cambridge now so we could get some people together. Being a rare car and the fact that...

Don't worry about changing things on your car. I can only speak for myself but you are more than welcome to change the suspension on your own car. I think the whole cliotrophy.co.uk members are stuck up ar$eholes and don't like to change anything about their cars is a self perpetuating myth...

That's not coffee, that's a blood stain from the knuckles of the poor sod who had to remove it. Ah the French.

    SACHS DAMPERS REBUILDS

Could the people who have contacts at Renault or Sachs ask them to give us the damping rates or at least confirm whether they have the same rates? I would love to just buy a new set, but without the confirmation it's going to be a leap of faith. @ Jonc - If you do put them on your car would...

    55 reg 182 workshop manual

As you may have already found out, I don't think there is one. I'm sure that someone with more knowledge will let you know if there is one, but I haven't found one yet.

    Hi Hello all new member

I believe its in the top corner under the scuttle panel on the drivers side. The washer bottle and motor is on the passenger side.

If 1 star equals no Trophy and 3 stars equals Trophy owner, what does two stars mean? Car with Trophy parts taken from a scrapped vehicle?

    last time you saw one?

I've seen 1 on the road in almost two years of ownership. The others were all at meets and shows. 1 did park directly behind me the day after I bought it but he'd seen it the day before and brought his car out especially to have a chat!

    SACHS DAMPERS REBUILDS

I don't know if the new ones are actually just taking a very long time to come into stock, or if they are no longer available. So if you can get hold of a new set, grab it with both hands, if you can't it, looks like it will be refurbishments for as long as they last, then it will be a change to...

    2118s

I have been out in the wet, but I never push it because I know that they do not disperse as much water as a more road orientated tyre, and thus would have less grip. I try to drive for the conditions and keep within my skill level if you know what I mean. Pushing my car in the wet seems like a...

    2118s

I've just put the new style of top mount on mine and it has completely got rid of the full lock judder. I have also fitted Yokohama AD08's and can say that they are better than the PE2's (imo), I have a feeling that they will not last as long though.

    SACHS DAMPERS REBUILDS

The prices sound about right. They have gone up a little since I had mine done last year, I think they said it was £100 per side for new shafts? I am becoming more and more skeptical about these new pairs of dampers from Renault. I would like to get a pair but I can't see it happening. I think...

    Irregular idle?

Your car will need a catalytic converter to pass its MOT. There is one catalytic converter after the manifold, you should be able to see it easily by looking under the car. When is the irregular idle happening? Is it all the time, intermittently or only on start up? Most 182's have a slightly...

    Really???

That guy is a legend, I've just been through the Parkers guide for even the most modern diesel fiesta and they are all over 10 seconds to 60. The fastest diesel fiesta I found was 11.2 seconds. As one of the comments says, unless there's a Saturn 5 booster rocket in there, it ain't happening...

    Clio 182 Exhaust

I had a good look at your Orb (no pun intended) at the annual meet last year, and it is by far the best exhaust you can buy for these little cars. In my opinion it has the looks and the sound down to a 'T' (no pun intended again!) It was a softer/warmer sound than the Yozzasport, but still...

    Clio 182 Exhaust

I can assure you that it is a Yozzasport exhaust, with a single rear silencer. I took Mark out in it a while ago, because he wanted to hear how deafeningly loud it was. Needless to say it was not that loud inside the car, until you put your foot down, and then it just sounds great, on idle it...
