You may be able to get to the inside mechanism trough the lever slot, use a flashlight and a screwdriver, you may just be able to put it back in place without undoing part of the fabric to get access from the front. You can try to do it while waiting for the lever :)

I now think it's a different seller and what you've just purchased might actually be a perfect reproduction of the original sticker with the lettering painted on a transparent sheet rather than mine which was cut out white vinyl. I'll buy one if he relists the sticker :)
