Back to Trophy - spare bonnet polished and sealed up for future - can’t get them anymore I am told from Renault

Now I have finished the Clio restore the next project is starting to come together. Bolting the first bits into the restored shell.

Before a few scuffs Then a good polish And after completely clear.

Another little task for 271 I didn’t know we could do but great result. Changed the wipers and noticed there was some scuff marks on the rear glass. Bit of YouTube research and a quick purchase of the following kit. ( Also used on my daughter’s Mini which had more noticeable scuffs too.) Works...

Just got it out of storage at my mates and looking good even with the patina of 17 years use There was a set of spares being ordered up and made by one of the members and a lot of people bought them. OMP will remake with enough orders Plus I have all “my precious” suspension spares in one...

And added some more rear springs with the correct bands so I think that’s it now - phew (thanks northy and others above for the pointers)

Yes the car was based in Fulham but in a garage under a cover now we have getting to the end of adding the toys / getting the detailing etc done

Hi they were the Cup springs apparently speaking g to Andy which I believe were pretty much the same as the Trophy ones. Will need to look for rings when next at the garage. Had the front springs from the relatively recent special order organised on the forum.

Back to Trophy and she has been to Andy Cochrane’s for a once over and MOT. Less than a thousand miles in about 15 months so not really getting any use. Good thing is we have bern tracking down the last missing bits to finish the build So complete springs and shocks set - tick . Oh...

Oh there was a lot of rust - pretty much everything below the waistline has bee. Replaced apart from bulkheads !

Actually didn’t really get it out over the summer but currently back with Andrew Crichton for MOT and check over. But she is looking good . Now that this is fully restored looking at another restoration Project a 1974 Innocenti Mini Cooper S

271 all shiny Been sitting in a friends garage for the past little while but hopefully get it out over the summer.

To finish off got the car fully detailed by Fanatical Andy and also all the wheels returbed. Scrubs up very nicely and Andy has done a great job - he is fanatical ! Seats came up particularly well I thought

Well got hold of one of the last of the unobtainium ! A pair of front bump stops from a place in France ( thanks very much to whoever posted in here the link for that) Also had to get a new ABS wheel sensor. Imagined that would be a fairly standard commodity part but no. Andy Cochrane...
