I have to be honest if your stock unit works well and it’s not a daily driver where maximum connectivity is essential I’d leave it alone. The original system is only let down by the speakers which can be easily swapped out for the latest technology.
There are aftermarket Bluetooth adapters that...
Quite a lot as you can see in this photo I robbed from the CS forum.
I have them in my car and they transform the driving position especially if you are over 6 ft.
Thanks Nick. Yes the Museum is fantastic! Hundreds of cracking cars on display.
One hall inside is called the red room and obviously all the cars are red from a TR5 to a Countach. Well worth a visit and has a good restaurant too.
RB had her first visit to k-Tec this week to sort out a couple of minor issues that I ran out of talent trying to sort! Lol
The long running saga of the abs/serv/tc lights not going out and the car feeling lacklustre while cold and also not pulling as hard as she should in the lower rev ranges...
Ive owned 3 182s and the only one that had the parcel shelf rattle was my BG.
Fixed it with a piece of fuel hose carefully slit open with a Stanley Knife and pushed onto the shelf’s leading edge on the hump that goes over the wiper motor cover. Worked a treat!
Likewise I have owned and driven many fast, classic cars etc but the Trophy is the best fun car ive had in years.
Bonkers fun for me was at castle combe in my mates Hayabusa turbo Radical.
I won’t bore you all with the journey of my mini restoration of the RB as its all been logged in the CS forum.
She has had a full brake, suspension and underbody refresh.
Got her back from my detailers last Saturday after a stage 1 mechanical detox and Swissvax onyx canuba wax Polish.
Bloody...
As Paul said the new old stock damper market is a gamble considering there is no guarantee they won’t leak soon after fitment.
IMO if you don’t have a pair on your T they are best bought and kept to add originality for a future sale while running Mark Fish or OEM cup units.
Good luck Dawn.
You have a very nice low mileage car which over the past couple of years one or two of us have tried to prise the keys from your hands. Lol.
The best cars are rapidly being added to collections and will not be for sale again any time soon as it’s not about investment any more.
I...
Thats the brake servo and probably one of the best I’ve seen!
Hopefully the bubbly liquid is where you have washed the arches. Nothing to worry about mate.
Sorry to hear this Ian.
The cats on these cars are worth up to £500, maybe its a lesson to us all.
Swap the Oem for an aftermarket one and box up the original.
It’s been up for sale on various platforms lately for around the 10k mark and seems to be a very honest car.
If I did not have my Trophy right now I would have definitely bought it.
I’m afraid not. The weather was crap and to be honest I just wanted to get her home.
If it had been in the summer I would of made a right old road trip!
I cut my teeth on the BG which I enjoyed, learned a lot, spent a lot and got a fair price considering the outlay on Collecting Cars which gave me some funds to buy Trophy #151 and get her to a condition that I’m happy with.
The down side of all this is I like tinkering and I’ve been itching for...
