haha thats a very gen-z response. Love the classic minis, earlier mini > modern post R53 anyday. I got my other half into one in the form of an 06 pepper white 6spd with all the options and that was amazing fun to drive, she still misses it to this day. A friends old man was a quality control...
adding to this thread. I've found that I have the green plug oil pressure switch that equates to 8200671286 for the 172 installed on the car and have had it for some time (before my ownership). What is the difference other than colour to the part number listed for 182s/trophy: 8200671279.
Agree on the sentiment regarding subaru's as I had a 02 V7 Sti, that thing felt like understeer heaven until you could load it up enough to neutral steer around a corner.
90s/early 00s cars are my go to. Crazy how little the 00s Merc SL go for nowadays.
My best mate has a 06 Elise 111S sitting on Nitron suspension and AD08R with which I've been lucky to take on track days and use on extended loans when I fly back to Aus for a visit. They are an amazing car but definitely on the more extreme end as a road car. On the open road it is fantastic...
Ahh yes I do like a good Caterham, one with a ITB 3SGE BEAMs would be a dream! I guess to specify, something that is usable/practical like the Clio would be ideal.
This is a bit of an open ended question which came to mind as I went on a drive with some friends recently. I have owned and driven a lot of cars and the Trophy always seems to be something I used as a baseline/reference for fun. What cars do you fellow Trophy owners find more fun than the...
Yeah this has happened to my car on and off, has had 2 facet oil pressure sensors. Two Techs did a pressure test and said everything is within range. Funky french electronics then!

Ahh yes you are right, true AP2 were JDM and USDM only with the F22C. Though the rest of the world still got all the AP2 upgrades with the facelift bar the motor. Still a great looking car 21 years later, friend of a friend had the uber expensive Mugen hard top on his facelift S2K with an...
some great cars on here! The guy I bought my Trophy off had a near identical AP2 to you @mhj360. AP2 are great cars, less edgy than the AP1.
Looking through the list of cars it could be safely said we've probably ticked off someone's bucket list haha.
Other than the Trophy I've also got an 07...
pretty sure mileage of most cars are stored in the cluster to prevent easy tampering. There are professionals out there that can adjust the mileage on the cluster to make sure it matches your current cluster. Alternatively you can change the dials back to OEM if you wish (harder more fiddly route).

Which number car is this? Recaros are missing.
amazing! I had thought about this the other day as I only take the Trophy out on long drives and when sitting at 72/73mph the RPM creeps up to around 3400rpm which can get a little annoying after a while. I've got a yozzasport on my car so have thought about putting some deadening under the rear...
True RE practicality with the FK8 or any Honda really. They tend to package in interior quite well along with the chassis. Agreed that the driving experience factor may be pretty close with the Yaris and Trophy, goes to show just how good the Trophy is even at low speeds.
Never got the FD2R...
@SharkyUK if you end up getting one, can you please do a Yaris GR vs Trophy comparison!
Yeah the Yaris GR in Aus were very competitively priced at $40K AUD. Few people I know have bought it and are already toying with them. Just glad something like that has been built. The last homologation...
Looking at the history it's only been potentially driven to the MOT centre and workshop and back in the last 2 years as mileage has pretty much stayed frozen.
