Hi Dave, Can you be sure it is the spring which has moved and not the spring seat. If you try and over tighten the top mount the spring seat will move, i think this is normal, i've noticed this on mine anyways. it is strange how it has moved in the first place, it may just need re-seating. As far as i'm aware, new bushes and ball joints did stop the knocking, I just used standard Renault parts, not had a problem since. Jeez that was 3 and a half years ago, seems like yesterday!

You have PM. I've had the PS3's on for a while now and after getting used to them they are a good tyre, however, I think i prefered the PE2's, shame really.

D4VP-C - Do you live anywhere near cumbria? Pretty sure i've got 2 spare PE2's with plenty of tread in the workshop, I went the whole hog and bought 4 PS3 even though the 2 rear tyres were quite new.

You're absolutely right, as I found out a few weeks back when I caught the rear wheel on a curb, a flake of paint completely came off and it looks awful. 3 years and not once did I curb the alloys, some weeks after a refurb and then it happens!
