Yes I agree. When I said 'I doubt it's as simple as bolting them on' I meant further setting up may be required, as in choosing the right springs etc, then pehaps a different rear setup may be required. I looks like you could physically just swap them over but that isn't what I meant.
But, as...
I doubt it's as simple as bolting on the Twingo R1 units, these are designed for rally use, ours are designed for road use, and surely BG Motorsports could tweek ours to suite a more track based car rather than forking out for new dampers which we don't know much about characteristic wise.
I've just done a search and the Twingo damper you have pictured (7711167414) is what would be our passenger side damper, so the reservoirs are actually on the opposite side than the Trophy units.
That's all I was trying to work out. Thought they may have been the same but bolted on differently.
The reservoirs on the Trophy are on the opposite side than the ones above. They must have fitted them the wrong way around, silly motorsport mechanics ;)
Dave, that must have been an expensive job, the plywood sheets are rather expensive now as I looked into it a while back. The plan is to insulate the internal breezeblock building but I think i'll leave the workshop area as it is for now and see how it goes. I'll certainly be sealing the floor...
Hey Dave.
Ye it was a bit cool over winter but not too bad considering. It also gets very warm inside on sunny days.
I've not yet done anything with the floor as i'm building another building inside using breeze blocks so i'm going to do it afterwards. The floor is pretty dirty already so it...
Cheers guys. It feels like a workshop now.
Sam you're right with the amount of effort involved, it's been hard work and fun at the same time, some good memorys of me and the old man putting it up :). We don't work well together because we both think we know better, I remember my mum once...
Spend all day yesterday cleaning the car my arms were killing afterwards, I bought some Collinite wax and I think I applied it too thickly because I’ve never buffed so vigorously in my life. It took me an hour to buff it all off and that was after polishing and sealing it.
I did the following...
I’ve been working on the outside too, planting various things and making it a nice area to sit in, should be nice once everything starts to grow. I even got a Christmas tree.

Kayak. Not mine unfortunately.
The generator is a big lump and I can’t handle that on my own either so I made a little trolley for it.
All 4 wheels cost me £10, 2 are swivel and the other 2 are fixed making it easier to turn. Simple job that’ll make life a little easier.

The law of straightness...
This workbench was £60. It’s not strong enough to fit avice etc it more just to move about and put tools on when I’m working. I’d love a really think wooden workbench but they seem to be a thing of the past now, I’ll keep looking.
The canoe came out of storage...
This new forum only allows me to upload 4 images at a time so I appologise for the stupid layout from now on.
Well, that was a long winter! Finally the summer is on its way. Wohoo!
I had a good clear out the other day, and its amazing how quickly crap builds up, I know it gets worse and worse...
J, When I log into the moderator control panel and click on a users settings i've noticed there is an option to select whether sent messages are shown in the sent messages folder, mine is unchecked, as is yours, as is everyone elses I would imagine. It doesn't allow me to alter any settings so...
Mine arrived today :)
Superb fitment, definitely a more solid fitment than the original, it looks like it won't be going anywhere for a while.
Cheers Davo
