Rob. Apart from the manual you already have there isn't much documentation floating about that is of much use when it comes to repairing anything. Unless you work for or know someone who works for Renault then the chances of you getting access to anything containing part numbers is pretty slim...
Mine arrived yesterday Dan, it has been put away for Christmas but I had a quick look at it (couldn't resist). It looks spot on, I'm really happy with it.
Cheers.
Good stuff. I'm going to get mine done at some point over the next few months, the handling has definitely deteriorated as of late. It must have been 5 years ago since they were last done, it totally transformed the car last time.
The price has increased quite a bit since then, I can't believe...
Hi Everyone.
If you have just purchased a Clio Trophy then please take the time to register it on our database. You will need to be registered on the site in order to do this so please take the time to do that also if you haven't already. If you wish to remain anonymous then that's fine, just...
LIGHTS!
Lights were a tricky one. I had to pretty much guess how many I would need and hope for the best. I also had to keep the power consumption as low as possible due to the battery capacity restrictions. I considered 6 x 6ft Twin High Frequency Fluorescent battens (2 for each bay) but I...
POWER!
Finally the workshop has 230V AC power that doesn't require the use of ear protection. It comes in the form of 2 x Rolls 12V 260 amp hour batteries and a Victron 5000W Pure Sine Inverter. The Inverter runs off 24VDC and puts out 230VAC, the 12V batteries are just wired in series to...
I opted to carry out the 5 year service myself this year. There's few specialists close to me with good reputations and after having owned the car for so long I've become quite familiar with it. It was done by a specialist 5 years ago then checked by a specialist a couple of years later which...
I've had the Trophy insured with Greenlight for the last 7 years. The customer service has been spot on and I would happily participate in the discount scheme.
....4 POST CAR LIFT INSTALLED....
Yesterday I had a new lift delivered and installed after my other one was sent back due to being badly damaged. It arrived at around 9am and took around 8 hours to install and commission.
I've always thought about installing a 2 post car lift in the workshop...
Thanks for the comments guys.
My 4 post lift arrived this morning! It felt like Christmas.
Imagine my disappointment when I unwrapped it to find it shaped like a banana. The installation guys said it must have been dropped and one of the runways had taken the full impact, everything else...
After lining the walls and roof with insulation I was left with the the decision of what the internal walls should be lined with. I had a few ideas but in the end I decided to fit enamel white tin liner sheets as I thought they would look nice the best. I've pretty much finished lining it now...
Well, after surviving 2 winters in the tin shed I made the decision to insulate the walls and roof. During the cold winter months the temperature is the same as outside and the only difference is that I'm protected from the elements. I've had a relatively small 10kw space heater in there running...
They definitely have rear speakers as standard, as Marc has already pointed out.
To save weight they used lightweight speakers with small magnets and less power compared to the FF 182. (I think).
As suggested, can all further comments regarding Sachs refurbs be posted in the thread linked below...

Mine is ok.

See if that solves it?
I has a Scorpion RS192 fitted for a couple of years. I loved it at first, it wasn't really any louder than standard but it had a deeper rumble, which was nice. However, it was a nightmare to align in the rear exhaust cut outs and it always had to have packing in the exhaust hangers in order for...
So is either the red or yellow cable missing from the plug that connects to the head unit?
Edit: sorry just re read your post.
I'd just check for voltage across the black negative wire and the red/yellow wires to rule out supply issues first. with the ignition off at least one should have 12V
I just recently wired a head unit into my workshops 12V solar setup. I noticed there were 2 12v feeds also, one red and one yellow. According to the head unit diagram the yellow cable was wired to the ignition so I figured I should wire a switch between that and the battery and keep the red wire...
Yes that's the one I was referring too. It seems to be the best option if you want to fit harnesses without installing a rear cage or having to remove the rear seats. It is bloody expensive though!
I certainly looks like the most practical means of fitting harnesses should you insist on it being fitted to a harness bar. The only other option is to fit a rear cage. I'd be pretty confident using it in terms of safety, it uses the existing seatbelt mounting points and perhaps it will add some...
