Do you mean this grille? If so I took it off with the bumper on no problem. Two plastic screws then push out from the front. I then sanded it and painted it!! Job done. Front fog surrounds come out as well but best to use plastic trim remover just to ensure you don't scratch the paint
The lower...
I have found that the best way is to get a bucket with Persia or some other detergent in and then seep the belts in them (loosen the bolt at the bottom next to the door). Then get a light scourer and the dirt comes off pretty easily.
Hi all, I am after a new bumper boot light as attached. Anyone have any ideas where is best to get them from and rough cost? Will ask give Renault a ring today so if anyone knows the part number that would be great. Cheers pete
I am running Michelin pilot sport 3's on 15inch 195/50/r15's and they are pretty good. Got them for £235 fully fitted at Kwik fit as they were the cheapest place about..
Uniroyal rain sport 3's are pretty decent for road use and cheap. If you are going to be cruising up and down the motorway...
Hi All,
I have been looking on the internet for a headrest mount for my Clio Trophy so i could mount my GoPro ahead of my first sprint in a couple of weeks time. Looking on the net they are around £100 and also as the 182's have recaro's the normal u-brackets round the headrest doesnt work so...
hi mate, just checked and i have two full sets of springs in my garage. I have a a full set of the yellow eibach springs in pretty good condition and then a set of front springs (they are black with what looks like a red/black marking on them) and then a set of yellow rears (which look pretty...
Hi all, All,
I have today swapped my REcaro Trendline seat mounts for Jon Fonz lower seat mounts which are excellent (definitely worth the investment). Anyway as a result my old seat mounts are no longer required. Not sure of the going price for these and to be honest i am not overly fussed...
quick update - as it was semi-dry in Bristol today - i decided to take the seats out and then swap the side mounts for Jon Fonz lower ones, plus i also removed the plastic inserts which go into the body of the car.
It isnt that difficult a job to do just takes a bit of time to do. I reckon...
HI KIngpin, they have had some aftermarket shocks on the car when i bought it, so my first drive on sachs was this afternoon. Mixture of a roads and also motorways. Pretty impressed so far. thanks Pete
Hi All,
A bit of an update on my Clio Trophy number 409 ahead of my first MSA Sprint at Castle Coombe on the 25th of March. Over the past couple of months i have had the following done:

- New cooksport springs all...
Hi all, just had my Sachs refurbished and fitted by rik this morning.
the work done by rik was excellent, takes real pride in his work and helps to keep us trophy owners on the road.. also made me a cup of tea.
Thanks again rik- top bloke.
I am going to Kent this weekend racing karts so if rob is ok with it I could pick it up if anyone wants it.
I live in Bristol but work in Preston, Manchester in the week so maybe easier for people to pick it up from me rather than heading to Kent.
But you would need to check with rob that he...
Looks great and you have inspired me to do mine this weekend! When you say you prepared it. Did you sand it or just clean it up with a spray before applying the primer? Thanks
Also a good trick is to Google the trophy number and see what comes up! You will be surprised what you can find.
Also you can put the reg number into the dvla mot site and it will give you some mileage history.
The best one is if you go to auto trader and say you are selling a car it will ask...
Worth emailing the guys here as this is where I got my rs192 exhaust from. Sorry if you have already tried this route and looks like they have hiked the prices!!!

Would definitely recommend an rs192 exhaust. Had one on my 182 ff and wasn't loud but had a nice sound when you were giving it some!
Re. Exhausts I had an Ashley group n rally exhaust on my Citroen ax gt when I was younger. Genuinely was so loud I didn't need a stereo and the floor vibrated...
Mirror caps- they just pop off. Either use your finger nails or if you have none like me a flat head screwdriver with some kitchen roll wrapped round it so it doesn't damage the paint should work fine.
Gear knob inserts - I have a 182 silver one in the garage you can have if you like? Just...
Agree worth knowing your location to advise of the best places to get stuff sorted at local garages.
In terms of the sucking noise I had this on my Clio 182ff and found it to be the cold air feed was not located properly to the hoses hence the sucking noise. So check the pipes near the battery...
Hi all, I am pretty sure there are a few Bristol trophy owners on here! I got my car tracking done for my first sprint on Friday at fcm alignment(top place) and a guy next door tiki customs which is a body shop, mentioned he had recently done a front end of the trophy and the various items which...
I have a set of pro race 1.2 wheels in white rik to use on the track! THey do look pretty cool! Will send a pic through when I next put them on the car
