Have mine booked in next week and can only imagine this will be easy for a decent garage (my mechanic has had Renaults for many years). Given mine have covered 132,000 miles can only imagine this being a worthwhile replacement. From the side the rubbers look very cracked and hopefully the cause...
Janspeed centre section removed due to minor rattle at certain RPM. This is the 2.25" silenced section and includes a brand new adapter to join a standard 182 cat.
Buyer to collect locally or arrange courier from Paignton or Exeter areas of Devon.
I have had mine refurbed twice by BG but following feedback and service other users have had from Rik he will now be my first point of call providing he continues as he is.
When I last sent them off to BG I had absolutely no update for days and no idea what Ben was talking about when we spoke...
Had a all singing and all dancing 172 that I had just had fresh belts and tensioners fitted when my old boss decided to have an afternoon out on his boat. On the way to his boat we passed a small local garage approx. 10 miles from my house / work and the Trophy was parked at the front of the...
Refreshing the 'pink' parts is something I must consider with mine, the door handles the prime area to fade.
Good luck with the sale mate, looks like you've put a lot into it and has a decent history behind it.
Mine has a nasty split in this area which I would love to have repaired or replaced but I have a feeling it will be costly.
Keep us posted if you have any joy with yours.

Still have some bits and pieces left over so offers welcome.
They do look a little high tbh but mine sit well above the turrets like most others.
I put the washers in from Fred @ BTM years ago and haven't had a squeak out of mine, although I have replaced the rubber top mount and the bearings twice since ownership.
Really good read that SharkyUK, have only ever seen the V6 but never had the pleasure of a trip out in one so cannot comment on the ride and characteristics of the car. Visually the V6 cuts it for me as they look so different and almost 'stand out from the crowd' as the Trophy looks too similar...
For anyone wanting to stick OEM these both match the Renault part numbers and currently 90 ish % off RRP.
Have ordered both sets so will report back once fitted.
I was looking a while back for different combinations that looked good but read from another member that the car looks more original with the standard plate rather than personalised. The '05 combinations do work well IMO.
Always fancied S4CHS or B3NDS given the handling characteristics of the car.
Poundland? :tearsofjoy:
Have been in the insurance world (Motor) ever since I left school and have now moved into a rental / hire industry looking after a 31,000 fleet, in particular damage.
Great stuff that makes perfect sense. I think I'll bung my mechanic a few ££ for doing both inners and outers as he's had a few RS Clios. With a ramp and the right tools imagine this will be easy.
This will be very interesting to know. Keep us posted.
My gut instinct is the original silver / grey will give a better dampening result than the new black, but let's wait and see.
in the tank there is a pump/sender unit combo, inside this there is a fuel pressure regulator which is a bosch 3.5 bar unit. It's quite a simple setup so that when the pressure in the fuel line exceeds 3.5bar it opens and bleeds the fuel straight back into the tank.
On PH1's they had a 3 bar...
Is the car running as it would normally?
Have had this light come up before both flashing and on permanently, the latter being down to a reading out of normal range, but the light dissappears after 20 starts of the car I believe. The flashing light was when I first bought the car and it was...
Correct, the article reminds you of the difference on the Cup over the standard 182, and the Trophy is based on the chassis setup of the Cup other than the front shocks, but perhaps just not the rears?
Perhaps they both have Cup springs for a reason?
