£20 posted for the coilpack (covered less than 20k miles) and used set of NGK spark plugs. Coilpack is genuine Renault (Valeo) and in good working condition. Cheap way to test faults on your 172/182 or ideal as spares! Carrying too many spare parts now! Thanks

The 2 warning lights are most likely to be alerting low brake fluid. Mine does it taking bends on the fast side!

Seem to be getting some minor binding / squeal when moving slowly. Wondering if pads need removing and filing again? Shims have already been removed. Any ideas?

Had mine fitted for a few weeks and the car feels very rigid! My old dampers were very tight when removed so didn't really need replacing! Still, after selling the old ones I've forked out £60 for the pair so can't grumble. Have some cup dampers and they feel very soft in comparison!

Also never had to use my can, think I would call the AA if I was ever faced with a puncture!

Thanks for all the replies, hoping it will be ok. Steering seems very tight - have some paranoia as when I had 'issues' with my alternator bracket, the belt was refitted and the specialist said the steering pump sounded slightly noisy (although they did need to top up the fluid!)

Unreal this incident, feel deeply sorry for you (and the car!) Being an insurance man, what is your excess and likely increase in premium should you claim? May be cost effective to claim?

Mine has now inherited a very quiet squeak and wondering if replacing top mounts has cured all your problems?

Imagine the immobiliser light fails to turn out? New key if that's the case. Had this in my old 172, started on the odd occasions but car would not recognise the key!
