I know 10000 miles is a lot when you are talking about the best classic investments - but I really don't get the massive differance in these two cars -

I spoke to the Chap a few weeks ago about it and it can be bought for £9000 but what put me of was it needed it's passenger rear quarter painting due to some slight bubbling - I even have a picture that I'll add below.

This has got to be a car to park up that will increase in value over the years.

Another few here Francis that have also been sold recently - the Mini is outrageous at that money however that's what makes the world go around.

Thanks for those Nick.

Bloody hell, I would have never guessed a R53 would go for that, low mileage accepted.
For that money I'd be going GP1/GP2, you have a proper special feeling car and they should hold their money as well.

Those Ferrari editions are properly cool little things, I knew they were used as courtesy cars.
I've never driven any Abarth, but from what I've read, the suspension is pretty bad, certainly wouldn't be ideal for my typical, local bumpy backroads 🙈🙈

That one has all the nice extras like the seats etc though and a touch of rarity.

It's hard to justify the difference in prices sometimes Nick.

I'm sure you've seen some proper puzzlers in your lifetime dealing in cars as well.

I do remember that slurry being an absolute nightmare to get off the white sills… :ROFLMAO: 🤣

It's a mark if how hard you were trying Ed.

Now if you had managed to get it at last half way up the side, then you were peddling along nicely 😉😂😂

I don't know if this is the correct thread or not, I have it in the back of my head
that someone (@NickReilly063 maybe) already had a thread about these auctions etc...

This original Williams recently sold at Iconic Auctions big Silverstone sale on over the weekend.

Car number 194, last owner 26 years, just over 80k miles - sold for £25,875.
Don't know if there's auctions fees etc. on top of that though.

Seems like a pretty decent example, seems they are still making really good money too.

Looks a bright thing Francis - your right to say good cars are still selling and making decent money.

The published price is including the check out fees.

This looks like another cracking 205, in what I think is its best colour - Sorrento green.
(Amazing how dark it can come across on camera though, when its inside)

The owner clearly put a serious amount of effort into getting it to this very high standard.

I'm going to be a little conteversial here Francis in saying it looks a little bland without it's Red bumper insert trim, or is it just me ????

Do you think he was going for the contrasting look with the wheels.

Also sat very low at the back end which may slightly hinder it's ride on our great British roads.

I agree Nick, the red bumper trim would make it look more 'sporting'.

It does appear to be in very good condition. I'm not so keen on the colour, I prefer a brighter hue like red or Miami blue.

@NickReilly063 and @marrow 100% agree.

After watching the video walk around, they say the previous owner wanted to create his own version of the Euro/French only Griffe model.
Which didn't have the red strip.

It would be a simple thing to add, and finish it off nicely I think 👍

One owner 2010 Clio 200 on just 3,375 miles, £17,995

Obviously it looks like it's been minded like a baby, doesn't appear to have the Recaro's though.

It was even taken on truck/trailer to get its belts changed.

Nearly as clean as my Storm Grey Cup... makes me wonder what that's worth now! 😁 ;)

Yes, I guess so Francis, though I do feel a bit guilty for not having used it a bit more over the last couple of years. The Trophy has taken priority lately for one reason or another! :) (y)

Not a bad complaint at all Ed.

I'm sure you will get fully reaquainted with your 200 before too long Ed, and all will be good with the world 😎
