hi,
I'm trying to remove and change my alternator, does anyone have any tips on how to remove the bottom bolt? I've got the top one out, and put a jubilee clip on the tensioner, the bottom bolt has come out about 1.5 ". But I can't get it any further. It just turns in place.
Is there a how to guide anywhere
Thanks

The bolt will slide out once the nut's come off. Wiggle the alternator up & down while pulling the bolt out.

Hi,
Thanks for that, I'm assuming the nut is off with the bolt being 1 1/2" out, or does it need to be further out. Have tried lots of wiggling and knocking but it's still stuck!

Yes nut is off (or bolt is out of threaded part anyway). Can't remember if bolt fouls something stopping it come right out,but it does come out far enough for alternator to wiggle out. May be tight with bolt out as the sliding bush will make alternator a tight fit onto bottom mounting. Wiggle and use lever to pry the alternator out, just make sure bolt is out fully first.
