I'm currently ensured with greenlight. Great customer service and the man on the phone who I took out the insurance with even knew everything about our trophies, which is a first for me, usually people don't have a clue what they are.
I added my RS192 exhaust system which didn't make a difference to the cost, which was fairly good anyway. would deffinately recommend these, and will consider the group buy when I need renewal in 6 months time

Thanks mate if you need anything at all throughout the year please dont hesitate to get in touch.

Hi Neil,

I am looking to re-insure my Trophy next year and was wondering if you offer a policy where I can insure the car from say April through to September? I garage the car over winter so I'm trying to avoid paying insurance when its not in use.

Thanks

Short term insurance is both expensive and difficult to source on a specialist car like the Trophy. We only offer annual policies but what a lot of customers do is keep the mileage down to a minimum say 2-3k but leave the policy in place for the whole year that way you get the miles to use between april and september then the car is still insured while its off the road in case something happened.

Plus with the way tax works now if you needed a car for a month or two during during the other months you could just tax it as the vehicle would still be insured to drive if needed.

Low mileage policies are often cheaper than a short term 6 months cover would be anyway.

Kind Regards
Neil

Thanks for the info Neil. I had a feeling that may be the case. I'll be in touch when it's back on four wheels!

Hi Neil, I would definitely be keen for this going forward however when I called 2 years ago, you had certain criteria like minimum 1 years no claim bonus etc which as a result did not allow me to proceed with you.

In my case, I have had company cars and cars on classic car insurance hence the problem of no claims. I do now have over 1 years no claim. Other issue you mentioned was the I have an EU License. I hope this has been looked into as I don't think that its very relevant, especially after living in the UK for over 7 years and owning various cars. I am 35 years old. On another note, I run a online facebook forum for Mx5's with over 9000 members to date. I would be more than happy to go with you guys come renewal time.
Thank you

We always ask where you heard about us and if you are a club member (when doing quotes over the phone and our website asks for online quotes as well) so if you said cliosport then you would already be getting the discount so won't of missed out
