Funnily enough - Yes. I've only been up north a few times, I like the countryside, proper hills and lakes but the cities are quite nasty, they smell even worse than London. York was nice though.

:roll: you're meant to take it off the motorway! The A roads are good enough, b- roads are superb! Everywhere north of birmingham is great driving road territory.

Staffs has too many speed camera's though. In my experience north yorkshire, lincs and the lakes are the best general areas for driving. Little congestion, low population areas and open expance of land to attack, with green views around you. Through in a few corners and you've got the perfect recipe.
