I moved from a 111r to the Trophy. You do have to adjust the seat rake and reach an infinite amount of times to get reasonably comfy.
I remember posting about this when i first got mine (a lot of people have done so).
Had my Trophy a year now and don't find it uncomfortable at all! I'm 6ft 2...
Nice, £547 for the service plus £300 for 2 new Exaltos to get it thru the MOT and all in one week! Barclaycard will be red hot this month!
Still better than the belt going on me tho!
I've just booked mine in at Renault London City. Its covered just over 34,000 but will be 3 yrs old in September. When I asked them if the belt needed changing they said no.....They said 74,000 miles or 5 years!
Assume I'll need the belt changing then? Correct?
Cheers in advance,
Karl.
Will indeed report back!
Will also leave the garage in no doubt that angle grinders and Sachs Engineering Suspension components are not compatible!
Maybe this could be inconnection with the suspension "flex" issue and the skipping we seem to get when the cars on full lock? What with the...
Have noticed a slight creaking noise coming from the front of the car when initially moving off (either forwards or in reverse) with part lock of the steering applied.
Its a very minor creak but have got #237 booked in to be inspected anyway.
Anyone else had this?
Any suggestions...
You can't just get Exalto II's off the shelf! Had to wait 3 days for the last one! Wouldn't have anything else!
Don't understand the wet weather comments on the Exaltos? To me, the trophy is at its most entertaining in the wet!!!
It seems a common complaint for new owners (all of us seem to have posted about it!). You can get a comfortable position but you have to constantly adjust it by minature amounts until you find the right position.
You can adjust the back rest very slighty as well as the seat base. As said...
Thanks Steve....Must admit that it is very easy to wash no matter how dirty it gets. It looks kind of cool in its current dirty state.
Think I'll give it a wash this morning. Just got some new Aeroblade wipers for it and dont want to put them on until its clean.
Space Monkey......PM me the...
Big time! The A31 from Guildford to Winchester is great. A proper "Trophy" route! A mixture of fast gradual turns, differing elevation, slow in, fast out bends, long straights and of course, roundabouts. Not that thats the only reason i go to visit my family in Wnchester tho! (It does help...
My car is Capsicum BLACK at the moment and i'm feeling a little guilty about it after seeing all the sparkling trophies on the site.
Can anybody recommend any decent detailers in and around south east London/Kent/Essex areas?
Think i might get it sorted in the next few weeks!!!
Cheers...
I get about 32 mpg on a good motorway run. Thats a mixture of cruising and "caining". It really will take on most things on the road. (Especially in this weather)
Come off the M25, onto the A3 and then the A31 along a piece of road called the hogs back. Had an E46 M3 all over me along the...
Just did Chatham to Winchester and back again with no probs at all! Very comfortable infact....
As many have said, keep the seat back as upright as possible....Just don't let anyone else adjust the seat once you have got it sorted!!! ;-)
Don't sell the car!!!! Todays run has reminded me...
Thats stupid.
I'm 6ft 2 and found that initially i had back and leg pain. THat goes once you've tweaked the driving position. If the steering wheel adjusted for reach then it would sort it IMO.
After a few weeks the pain went and now i find the seats v comfortable.
Took me at least two weeks of "bedding in" before i got comfortable. Now its perfectly comfortable.
Know its a pain tho cos until you're comfortable you don't feel like you can push on properly!
Trouble is the driving position is compromised so you have to constantly tinker with it until...
