Over the past few months i have noticed a squeaking sound coming from the driverside front damper on the T - it has also become very 'spongey' in comparison to passengerside! :(

Is this likely to mean they needs refurbing?

Any advice appreciated!

i would say yes, but to be fair they all need doing at this age regardless of mileage, its a hassle buy worth it.

If you take a wheel off and where the square section comes off the main body of the strut to the remote resovoir if the square section is touching the resovoir it needs rebuilding. There is a thread somewhere with pictures on if your not sure what I mean.

I've been hassling Ben at BG to try and get mine done for about 3-4 weeks now with no luck. Seems like he's too busy!

Mine are also now due for a refurb. Passenger side is nice and bouncy which explains the recent understeer. WIll be getting it booked in next month, just a shame we're getting the cambelt done on the 225 in the same month:(
