Sachs OR cup front shocks and springs

Hi,

Sachs are a long shot, but anyone with a front pair let me know.

Alternatively… does anyone have any 182 cup shocks and springs (ideally as a set with the top mounts etc) they have tucked away?

Looking to get my sachs refurbished, but might run on cup suspension for a while to keep the car drivable.

Photo Ed posted a set of clio cup dampers previously for sale.

I had the same issue and ended up buying a set of dampers via the trophy Facebook group. They come up every so often or just post asking for a set.

I struggled with springs and ended up with Mark fish Eibachs. Since then, grams launched a reproduction set of springs for the trophy.

Thanks Mike256, I did think this may be quite a common headache for us trophy owners .

I’m hoping somebody has a pair of strut assemblies I can bolt straight in for now, whilst I free up the sachs and get them refurbished. It may be wishful thinking though and I might have to get some cup shocks and some springs.

Do you happen to know if the top spring cup, top mount etc is the same trophy to cup? I.e if I got the sachs and springs out, can I use the existing spring cups and top mounts for now?

Thanks photo_ed. I did spot your post, was hoping to go down the good condition used route to save a bit of money, but I may well go down this route. If I went for your shocks and bump stops, would the spring caps, top mounts etc on the sachs assembly fit? Assuming they aren’t worn of course!

The top mounts & upper spring platforms are the same across all 172/182 models. So the ones you have should be fine, subject to condition - as you say.
