Rivets on sills

was having a look under the car and noticed the rivets holding the sills have gone rusty and IMHO look nasty.

i am thinking of getting some bolts with nyloc nuts paint them red and replace the rivets with them.

i think it will look far better than what is already there.

good idea or not?

how will you fix them? its probably double skinned on the inside...why not drill the rivets out and replace with aluminium ones or stainless if available...
also the nylocks will probably strip the pain off the bolt when you put them on..
