I find Pipercross to be pretty good but unless your changing anything on the induction side it really doesn't make any difference.
Stick with standard OE filter all day long.
Only thing i would change for is the new K-Tec induction kit as in the link below but it is expensive.

Im running a ITG foam filter in the standard box,which has greater flow than the OE and its a pretty much fit once and forget it.
Unless your anal about cleaning it every 24k or so.

You won't notice a difference in a replacement panel filter. I tried an ITG panel but no difference. Then moved on to an ITG Maxogen which I'm much happier with.
