Pulling to the right

Just wondering if someone can help provide some direction regarding my Trophy pulling to the right.

The car wants to steer to the right with the steering wheel at centre position, so I have to steer towards 11 o'clock to drive straight. This is especially noticeable when accelerating. I've recently taken the car to a specialist to replace the drive shafts either side and top mounts. They checked the suspension over and dampers, springs and track rods all fine. Plus checked the alignment and this is correct. Dampers where refurbed again within the last year.

They seem to think it can only be an issue with the tyres. Although I bought some PS3s within the last 2 years they have a 2017 stamp on them. They reckon I may have hit a pot hole and caused some damage with a tyre or perhaps due to their age.

Can anyone please advise on what the issue could be?

Thanks.

Swap your wheels front to back and you'll eliminate any possible tyre issue.
Something is loose or out on the alignment for sure, theres a limit to what it can be, so id deffo take it elsewhere for a second opinion.

If you have to make a constant steering input to keep the car running straight, then the geo is out, possibly a bent rear stub axle.

If the car runs straight hands off, but the steering wheel is left hand down, then the alignment has been set with the steering wheel

not centred.

Do you have a full geo print out, and was the problem present before the drive shafts were replaced?

Yes the problem was there before the drive shafts were replaced.

The car requires steering input to keep straight otherwise it will drift to the right. The garage said they set up the alignment with the steering wheel centred and to the Trophy spec. They did not provide me with a geo print out though.

I guess I need to swap the wheels over to see what that does. Is a bent rear stub axle not something the garage would necessarily spot? Thanks.

Bent stub axle will still show up on a proper alignment jig as the rear axle thrust angle will be out.

I had this problem years ago when I ran an Alfasud, I swapped the front wheels over side to side and ran it up the road and the pull had changed side which proved it was just the tyres
