Good wash mitt / drying towel

It's been years since I bought mine, and wonder if anyone can recommend me a good wash mitt & drying towel?

Alternatively, perhaps @NickReilly063 could come down to Cambridge to detail my car?

Some wheel brushes can be quite harsh on soft wheel finishes, and you also run the risk of them flicking dirt or extra-strong wheel cleaner into your eyeballs during use. And whilst you could use a regular mitt on your wheels, it's going to get filthy in no time and risk coming into contact with...

It’s supposed to be for wheels, but I find it excellent for the whole vehicle, particularly our old Mini with all the fiddly bits of chrome etc.

I'm very old school in cleaning cars - a steam cleaner works a treat in the first instance to remove years of grime.

After that a good buff of the bodywork and then just basic polish and trim dressing - colour magic polish is also a god send too.

My latest project was bring this back to life as my new daily -


This is after a quick wash on Saturday morning after a 650 mile drive to Goodwood - with a hose pipe ban in Yorkshire i brought it to work to Jet wash it and then leather it down inside out of the sun -

Any thoughts on the drying towel thingy & and perhaps brushes to clean inside the wheel.

I like the look of that drying towel, I tend to use the Auto-Glym ones. But may well give one of those a whirl.

Full disclaimer, the owners behind Yum Cars are friends of mine. I exclusively use their products for all my cleaning and maintenance these days. They aren't the cheapest, but they are good quality products.

Ed, the drying towel is great. As with general microfibre care, it is best to wash them in non-bio at a lower temperature and to avoid softener/conditioners during the wash (as in washing the microfibres after use). Otherwise, they lose their absorbency and can become hydrophobic.
