If anybody hasn't seen this as yet, brief write up on Renaultsport.co.uk: http://www.renaultsport.co.uk/roadcars/heritage
.......which concludes by stating:
All this has made the Clio Renaultsport 182 Trophy the ultimate Renaultsport 182. The "World's Greatest Hot Hatch" says Autocar. The...
I met Harry Metcalf at an evo track evening last year and he asked me why I had not thought about a newer car, implying that the new models are better.
Any way with this thought in mind I went and test drove a Clio 200 on a cup chassis the other day.
My thoughts, new car is bigger, much more...
Ok so there is only a paragraph on the Trophy in the new Evo magazine so probably not worth buying if you're not a regular reader, but they list 6 giant killing road cars which the Trophy tops with a closing comment of "It's our ultimate giant-killer"
It's a good day to be a Trophy owner!
Hi,
Thought I'd sign up here to get some info from Trophy owners before I test drive some.
I currently own a Peugeot 106 Rallye 1.3 which I really like and recently thought I would never sell as it does almost everything that I want in a car(no I dont want comfort!)-steering feel, chassis...
Good piece in this months EVO (Aug) regarding the Clio's 20th birthday, featuring the Williams (1),172, 200 cup, Trophy & V6 (255) group test with excessive "3 wheel action"
guess who won...
Just picked up the latest copy of Performance Car Magazine. It seems they've done an article on "The Finest B-Roads in England" using a Trophy - 7 pages in total with some great shots of the car. Well worth buying a copy.
Cheers,
Jez
Autocar news story
That is either drop-dead gorgeous or a bit OTT, I can't quite decide.
I'm willing to bet the production version won't be quite so extreme.
When I click a new thread I generally get this error (see below) page loads OK if I refresh it. Site is also slow for me, been like this for the last week or so.

Hi all!
If your like me and enjoy reading car magazines such as Evo, Autocar etc etc. Then you'll see that the white R26R has been reviewed by every magazine under the Sun this month (including The Sun!!).
So is it the new Trophy? Is it special enough? And will there soon be an R26R website...
What's an 05 Trophy with 70000 miles going to be worth in 12m time?
Warranties with a £2500 claim limit that cover the dampers are available for about £250 per annum for cars with FSH and undergo scheduled services.
Also seems that private sales appear to be similar prices achieved by...
I'm in the position to replace the Clio next year sometime next year, but nothing on the market was grabbing me.
R26 was fancied, but from what I've read not better than the Trophy enough to justify the change.
Then went crazy and started fantasising about a 996 Carrera 4, until my old man...
Just had a flick through Autocar while at tesco and saw this. Thought it might be of interest. If Renault do it right it could be a great car.

Just hope it doesn't end up looking like a hairdressers car
When Clarkson was putting the old CTR on the track against the new one.
Wasn't too surprised that the old one trounced it, because when I had a quick look at one the other day, it looked a bit podgy. I wonder how the Trophy would compare in comparison. Would be fairly interesting to see as...
Who thinks a Trophy could could beat the Corsa VXR round the Ring???
Think we need a decent Renault Driver to have ago at beating this record

That looks like fun...Praise be to the crazy goons at Opel...
Has anyone else read about the JDM Civic Type R and getting a bit tempted?
Autocar clocked it doing 0 - 100 in 15.98 secs while the Megane R26 clocked 16.66. Not much in it but interesting all the same.
EVO gave it a good review too, hailing it as the best Honda on sale at the moment. I...

I have owned this car since late December 2006 i got the car from Steve at Allvehicles.co.uk who is known for selling lots of Trophy's.
I bought the Car with around 9,500 miles and it has now covered about 11,500...

Just to alert everyone's attention to this further than has been done already..
Did my oil change this eve and when I went to lift the bonnet, having pulled the release inside the car, I didn't have to pull the catch at all - it hadn't engaged.. Quite worrying considering it's under a year...
.... We've just picked up a new client - TMD Friction..... was walking around their site in Bradford this afternoon and guess what I saw..... boxes of Pagid and Mintex pads and disks, although TMD have stopped mftg Pagid pads from that site - they are made by the same people, same factory, same...
If any of you have been following the crazy and embarrassing (for Renault) saga that Trophychick is going through with her car you'll be aware of the dead end that they now seem to have reached. For it to have taken a couple of weeks to fix a car is too long, their story has now reached 5 months...
