Cheers for that info Carbon Chaos. I'll have to keep it in mind and find a Renault scrapyard or something.
gungo I know what you mean. What pisses me off massively about them as well is that you can't seem to order a specific part, you have to get the whole fucking thing. This has happened...
Sorry I'm not able to be more specific in the title. Its the thing that remembers where the seat was set when you tilt the seat forwards. It has snapped and come loose. Its a piece of metal so there doesn't seem to be anything that I can do about this.
Has anyone had a similar thing...
You can order them as a single item apparently. It came within two days and just slid on! Excellent stuff. I'm going out to have a bash at cleaning my seat belts now.
Thanks for that chaps.
I know this might seem stupid but do you know whether I'd need a left or a right one? Its the one on the passenger side nearest to the door. I'm only asking because I don't know whether it would be classed as a right hand side one, as if you were looking at the seat...
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement? Its the little plastic thing that you lift up in order to move the seats forward to get into the back. The passenger side one has snapped off. I went into a Renault dealer and was told that they were £38 because you have to order another part...
If you think how much effort you had to put in to get these stickers, then there is literally no chance of any of the 182 owners getting their steering wheels replacing for melting, even though its a well known defect.
I just changed all four of mine to PS3s. Not really driven my car much but from the couple of thrashings I've given it the new tyres seem up to the job.
I know I haven't got a Trophy, but if there was anything I'd look to change my 182 for it would be either a 350/370Z or maybe a Z4M. But I don't think they would be that much faster in the real world, I'd just want to change to a nice six cylinder RWD convertible. :D
If it has, get your name down on the list here: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=353581 There are a couple of members who are composing a letter in an attempt to try and get Renault to address their quality issue with the RS steering wheel.
Its obviously going to have more...
I managed to get my 182 on three wheels for the first time properly yesterday after a trip to the Evo triangle. I was approaching a right hand U turn down a hill. Absolutely belted into it and hit the brakes, then swung round. It blatently went on three wheels. Was fantastic. :D:D:D
Thanks for this, I was contemplating whether to take mine off but I won't bother now. Don't usually rag the engine when its cold anyway so its not a problem!
How does new switchgear make a car better in any way? A few extra kilos? Wasn't it around 150kg extra? Thats a hell of a lot.
I thought it was just as fast but not faster.
There was something about this on pistonheads. Someone was saying that detailing is defined by cleaning a car to unessecary levels, and giving it a bloody good clean is what most people do.
