Yeah I view pistonheads nearly everyday, and regularly keep an eye on trophy prices.
You also know for a fact that all 3 of those Trophies you mentioned sold within a few days, with quite a few people (one being yourself?!) missing out on a purchase
As someone said in a thread on...
Yeah no offence but thats alot to ask for in the car for £6***
Even 6 months ago cars with that spec were still going for £7000+ and now that the prices have gone up you will really be stretched to find one for that price as Chris said.
I agree too with the body roll comment, but I wouldnt say its bad.
My previous car had 8kg/6kg spring rates on coilovers meant for japanese roads, no roll at all but it could get dangerous if you were not expecting it.
The trophy is definitely more suited to these roads, it has a bit of roll yes...
Yeah you went right past my window, I live in Beal.
I'l be honest, at first I thought someone had stolen my car  but then caught the first part of the reg and was relieved!
Some nice roads round here especially the way your going home.
Probably see you again!
I should of put my driving is 90% A and B roads + towns, hardly ever motorways.
On motorway journeys I imagine near 40 wouldnt be too hard to achieve. Amazing for a 2.0, my old 1.3 turbo used to average 25 mpg
Get about 300 miles to 45 litres, could get 350 if i tried.. but I wouldnt of bought a trophy if i wanted to potter around.
The 197's are notorious for their MPG compared to the 172/182, my friend has a 197 and coming back from cheshire he averaged 29, I averaged 34.* same speeds.
Big difference!
I was wondering if someone would say mine was broke
It moves backwards and forwards fine via the lever under the seat, should the leaver on the side do the same?
They both have one 'catch'
The passenger one makes the seat fold AND move backwards / forwards.
The drivers just makes the seat fold and doesnt move.
Well, thats what mine does anyway.
The only place there is a gasket is the cat to manifold connection, not even the cat to exhaust has a gasket so not quite sure where your talking about!
Getting my RS192 fitted shortly as the standard exhaust is leaking from the cat to exhaust join, I presume the clamp has given up ghost so I'l def need a new one! I just hope the leak isnt a hole on the cat flange :(
Ive got some mikalor intercooler clamps somewhere from my old car, they...
I only ever saw one or two mk1 focus RS's when they were most popular, but I've seen alot of the new RS's already.
2 of which I pass on the way to work everyday, guess Ford have marketed them well!
To be honest i find the standard headunit and speakers pefectly fine and provide ample quality, and thats coming from multiple cars with aftermarket speakers.
Maybe ive just grown out of the whole loud music and bass thing
Been having a read and the ktec equivalent I linked has had a few problems regarding sealing.
How much would I be looking at power ranger for the oe version, feel free to drop me a pm
Poor car indeed, however I do really like the sound =D>
Posted in the CS thread
Edit: just watching the ring video from them, ROFL at the first minute with the astra
Any videos? The first link isn't working for me.
They look lovely, the price tag isnt pretty for a cat back, even top spec jap exhausts for my other car are cheaper! But if it sounds good I may be tempted.
Havnt got a bigger size of that picture have you cant make out the numbers!
I dont think mine has been rejoined, I drove the car again this morning and maybe its not as loud as I think, with music on 14~ I couldnt hear it at all.
Yeah thats a good point, to be honest I never noticed the soot when I was underneath but its definitely visible on the pictures!
I'l try and get it on a ramp on the weekend and see exactly where its coming from.
Cheers for the help.
Yeah i'l have to do that, I cant hear the noise when revving it when stationary, just when moving and accelerating hard. Like a 10mm socket loose somewhere if you can imagine the noise. Soon as I stop accelerating and hold at say 5k revs the noise stops..then starts again when i accelerate ...
Should the manifold to cat connection have a nut on either side of the spring thing?
This is what I mean
Am I missing anything? reason being i'm trying to sort a metallic rattle when accelerating hard out.. I think its exhaust related but just trying to narrow it down :(
Yeah don't get me wrong, I was just stating when you said the best FWD of the times that Ford did test it more than twice on the ring in an attempt to beat the meg. I know they are completely different cars, personally I wouldn't have either not to use as a daily car anyway, the meg I would love...
