I did a back to back drive in my Trophy with my friend's standard mk3 MR2.
Completely agree with the above, it's a really sweet handling car. Nice and pliant, balanced and really suited to our bumpy roads. They're a bit under the radar! (For now).
Someone might correct me, but these could be the correct size and style (albeit not anthracite).

Anybody used yellow touch up paint on their springs? Any recommendations?
Mine are nearly new but slightly marred from assembly (really not bad, I'm being anal 😅).
I went from PBS ProRace pads, which felt great once up to temp, to Brembo 'standard' pads.
I preferred the former, but they were expensive, and more annoyingly they wore down the disc at the same rate as the pads! Lots of dust too.
I'm happy/used to the Brembos for now.
Yokohama AD08 RS. Not a huge fan!
Unless you're in a fairly narrow temperature window (i.e. almost never in the UK) the grip level and balance isn't quite as predictable as I'd like. They also squeal a heck of a lot when very hot.
My friend has an MR2 on the same tyres, he has the same...
@Lewr1407 might be able to help? Looks like he got his done at Northloop Cup.

I bought mine after a lot of umming and ahhing over what I really wanted out of a car. In the end, I wanted a fun, usable modern classic. I literally Googled this phrase!
On almost all of the lists I found, there was a Trophy.
I was considering a 6.2 C63, but I thought the running costs would...
I wish you hadn't said that, I might have to get some new ones to go with my damper refurb 🫠
Shame to have old spring aids and gaiters with newly painted corners
I bought the white bush from Renault a couple of months ago.
A bit fiddly to reassemble but a bit of patience and it can be done.
The car had done about 130k miles at the time of replacement.
Definite improvement for a small outlay. I'd say the shift was 20% more 'snickety', if that makes...
Any condition apart from bent please!
I'm planning on refreshing with TRW bushes and powdercoating. So any surface rust, flaking paint or destroyed bushes aren't an issue.
Thanks
Hi @Zenris , I hadn't fitted these.
The plan now will be to find a used set of OEM arms, and press out the bushes. Then I'll powdercoat the arms and press in some TRW bushes.
I want to keep the geometric tolerance of the Renault parts but also keep natural rubber of a semi decent quality at...
I have a flat spot around 3000 rpm from cold. When warmed up - no problem.
I don't believe this is unusual? If anything, it shows the car hasn't been remapped, which in my mind is a good thing.
I was able to use the old nut with a new top mount without any issues. I'll try and get some photos in the next day or two for reference in this thread.
