Lovely useable mileage Chris being only 67000 - may now need belts and shocks doing which will cost up to £1500 ish subject to the Sach’s condition. Also a little bit of money to spend on the bodywork but no big shakes.
One question you will need to ask with it living in London- has it garaged...
Everyone's opinion on this site is definitely welcomed Chris so please keep posting yours (y), also with Trophy's there is no right or wrong answer.
My view is I think the price point for Trophies has lifted a little in 2026, however the proof is if they sell
Like Ed has said above...
Having not seen this car in the flesh Chris which then make's it hard to comment in my view - however I do know that this car has had a fortune spent on it by the previous owner Alex which is probably why it's at that price point I'd say.
If you find an equivalent Trophy today I'd say you would...
Good luck with your search Chris and I'll look forward to you posting your adventures when you acquire one.
I have posted a few on here that are for sale on various different sites in the recent days.
🚗🏆❤️
Brings back bad memories Stef - no only joking 🤔🤔
I’m not sure my wife understood how much effort/money it took to recommission my T as she says if I peg it she will just give mine away -
God I love a wheel that looks like brand new 😍 😍 - these are stunning Ed even though you have not seen them yourself yet -
I hope you don't mind me sharing them -
🚙🏆❤️
Hi Nick
If most of the mechanical’s have already been attended to then hopefully they won’t be much to worry about within the next few years, but one last check would be to review it mot history just to be on the safe side, I’d particularly being looking out for looming failures on rear brake...
If I didn’t have a lot going on Ed as you know, I would have loved to come this weekend to prop up the burger van with you 🤣 -
No jokes aside good luck and do us all proud - hope Jill is as good at photography as you
🚙🏆❤️
I’m going to tell my wheel man to double layer the paint on your Cup alloys Ed just to pea you off when you have them refurbished 🤣🤣
9.5kg then 🤣🤣 - this may slow you down a little at Harewood 🚙🏆❤️
The car is looking far too good to be put through it’s paces Ed, however I love the polishing the wheels to make it a little more streamlined 🤔 -
I’ve been awaiting this write up since the weekend and have throughly enjoyed every word of your experiences ( EVO style ) - actually does make me...
Hope everything is going well today Ed, there looks to be a good lineup online for today’s practice session Sir. You have definitely maxed out the weather which I’m sure will make it a little easier when braking without ABS and also getting the traction down out of all those tight corners.
🚙🏆❤️
Ed is on the button I’d say, however I’m not sure it’s a winter timing thing but Clio 172/182 seem to be a little thin on the ground at the moment - quite a few people are asking for good standard ones on Facebook and especially 172 Cups ( lucky you Ed 😉).
I've got your wiper arm clip Ed - also I've got some more sash which are all in great condition that may come in handy.
I've put them all together till we meet up -
I’d been awaiting this write-up Ed all day on Sunday - however you have made my morning as I couldn’t just stay awake for it at 10.44pm,
Amazing read and looking forward to seeing it in action at Harewood 😉😉
