Hi, yes I have all of the original stereo equipment, including the stalk switch, one of the tags was broken hence why I blanked it off, it still works fine. I'll PM you my email address so you can let me know if you want to pick up the spare stuff. I think I mentioned before I have a set of...
Hi, it's a Milltek system, I bought it from someone off the forum, I got one of my mates to seal weld a very small crack in the front box which was present (but not spotted) when I bought it, and it's been fine for the last couple of years. I think the cracking around the weld was quite common...
Hi, glad you bought 050, I've always found it to be a nice straight Trophy, and I think the price was pretty good for the overall condition and mileage. I probably won't be on here much now, so I'll PM you with my email address, I have a few bits and pieces in the garage, and you may have some...
Hi everyone,
Sorry to say my period of Trophy ownership has come to an end, as someone at the more senior end of the age spectrum I decided to get something more fitting to my pipe and slippers image - Saab 9-3 Aero, full power turbo, full leather interior, full service history etc. etc...

oh yes, in fairness I only ran a car for the winter when it was too cold for the motorbikes! Good fun, reliable and heated black leather seats - perfect winter car. 22 mpg max - poor everyday car...

Just thought of something else - I took the earth lead off the rear lights and apparently this can occationally throw up random dash warning lights - ABS / TC etc. I was very sceptical, but since disconnecting the sub I've had no warning light issues. There are probably far better places to take...
Hi, I put one in a while back, there is a rubber grommet very high in the passenger footwell, right up under the dash. With a very small piece of wire I slid the power lead through to the engine compartment - very tricky! There are probably better ways of explaining this on ClioSport, as...
Has anyone else had this problem, mine has done this twice recently, but the lights went out after a couple of minutes. Anyone got to the bottom of the problem? I'll pop into an auto electrician to get the alternator checked out. The BM did the same thing recently, perhaps it's me.
Hi, the latest addition to my fleet:

...yes it's an ancient K100RS, at least I can avoid racking up too many boring motorway...
Hi Eric,
I could do with a spare wheel as one of mine is more kerbed than your one, and this looks a good price. Unfortunately I'm in Ipswich, and I'm unlikley to be anywhere near Bristol anytime soon, would you consider arranging postage? I have no idea how much this would cost. I'd also be...
I used to have a supermoto Kawasaki KLX650, it was ace around town, but really uncomfortable over 25 miles or more. They are surprizingly quick on really twisty roads, much like a Trophy, but when the road straightens out a bit the 4 cyl bikes blast past. The KTM looks a good bet, they are a bit...
Hi there! yes that's me, either getting the Alpine fitted or having the alarm looked at. I think I've seen you about too, where are you based? I did see a very clean T on Woodbridge Road around the time I was getting the stereo upgraded.
What number are you? I'm 050 fairly obviously! Looks like...
Blanking plate update (I know this is a hot topic!!):
If you do remove the stalk remember to tie the lead to something to stop it rattling around in the column shroud, I didn't and it was very annoying! Some insulation tape should solve the problem.
Not sure about the weight saving, probably...
I’ve tried to follow the advice of people who know what they are talking about by upgrading the headunit (Alpine CDE 102 Ri) and the front speakers (Alpine SPX 13REF) first, which sounds far better than the stock unit, but I need to think about stage 2. My car audio specialist is desperate to...
For some reason 050 decided to click over 50,000 miles at a desolate looking part of Suffolk - don’t worry it doesn’t all look like this, well not all of it anyway...
Sorry, not a great picture, I only had a phone handy.
Does anyone else still have a standard exhaust system? The back boxes...
Hi, I’ve not posted anything useful yet, but a big thanks to all of you that do, this is an amazingly useful source of information for keeping 050 ship-shape.
Anyway, I’ve finally found something which may be of use to someone else, I recently changed the standard stereo for an Alpine CDE 102...
