Trophy #31 is now sold (pending the MOT) to someone who saw the advert and lives locally to me, and will hopefully introduce himself soon to this great community.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all the great people on this forum who I have encountered during the last year, and I...
Up for sale is my Renaultsport Clio 182 Trophy, number 31 out of 500.
In summary, #31 is in excellent condition and both looks stunning and drives perfectly just like a Trophy should. The car is completely standard except for the exhaust system which is a Scorpion stainless steel system. The...
I was last on the list, and totally understand. Good news that the supplier have offered a refund, I’d happily accept the refund if they don’t find the matching damper.

I was intending on joining in with the Bristol group as my parents live in Bristol and I have been friends with pj_sibley for many years. However I also live near Stratford upon avon, so again if it would help numbers, we could get 2 sets couriered in one consignment to either me or @tucker220...
@Rik Perry - many thanks for the useful advice. Just to add to this, I recently had the same problem - engine light flashing, mainly at idle. Fault code reader pointed to cylinder 3 on mine. So I got a set of genuine injectors from Renault, which solved the problem.
BUT, I also replaced the...
If they are Twingo R1/R2 dampers as stated by @MarcB what dies this mean? Are they the pinned to deliver the same damping rate as the Trophy dampers? Is it a good / bad / indifferent thing that they are Twingo dampers?
@hoolio why don’t you like the company just out of interest? I’ve never used them, just interested, I usually use Renault parts direct but the Sachs rear dampers are quite a bit more on there at the moment than on your link.
It looks to me like 182 cup rear dampers have been fitted to you car, they are identifiable by the yellow and blue sticker.
The trophy shares the same rear springs as the 182 cup but should have different dampers.
Interesting! I don't know what the normal cost of refurbishment is as I've not had to do it yet, but from what I've read, sounds like at this price they could be bought new for a similar price to refurbishment?
Did you check with them that the price is definitely for 2 dampers? I know in the description that its says they come in a pack of 2, but in the box above on the webpage where you order, it says qty 1. Don't know if this means 1 x pack of 2 dampers, or 1 damper?
Thanks for the replies all.
In the end I’ve got a replacement Scorpion centre pipe being delivered today; they sold me the new centre pipe with the flex section for £118 delivered so on the grounds I’ve been happy up to now, I decided I couldn’t really justify £500+ for a Prospeed / PMS...
Luckily, my tail pipes are really central in the cut outs and I’ve not had a problem with the surrounds melting.
Although I can’t get mine done under warranty as I was not the original purchaser, Scorpion have offered a new centre section for a really good price so I might go for that to keep...
Yep, that's the cat restriction mod.
But clearly doesn't apply of you're going de-cat. I'm keeping the Renault cat on mine.
I've not spoken to Nick (or anyone) at PMS but it looks like they do lots of nice stuff for the Clio 182.
So, my T has a Scorpion exhaust which was fitted by a previous owner in 2013, and I'm pretty sure that the weld has cracked between the centre silencer and the pipe.
I noticed that Scorpion have updated the design of the centre section to include a flexi joint, and reduce the risk of cracking...
Well I’m not 100% sure, they came with #31 when I bought it as spares, as the previous owner returned the car to standard. He told me they were MF, so I’m only going by that. But also the shape of my springs and number of coils is identical to the picture you posted. So is it possible he did...
What would be a fair price for A 2nd hand set of mark fish springs? I've just replied to a wanted thread on cliosport saying i have a set I'd be prepared to sell, sorry I saw that thread first, however if they do not sell on cliosport then I'll let you know. I put them down for £175 delivered on...
Unfortunately I didn't manage to get the genuine Renault cat fitted last weekend but got another appointment at prospeed for 27th October, so hoping to get the proper cat fitted then.
