I'd say you had the thumb worn off you Nick, refreshing the page to see
if Ed stuck up the picture of his Spring(s) ;) π
Good buy for someone there Ed π
I would imagine the ones from the earlier years might be worth a bit in the future and be more in demand.
The period from when they launched in 1998 to the mid 2000's,to me,was both peak car and peak Evo.
Even though I have pretty much bought Evo from the very first issue,I think peak Evo...
Great action shot Ed.
I hope Mrs. Ed is being well compensated for standing on those corner exits, ready to start snapping
to catch those much sought after, tripod shots π
Ah nice,I'm a bit partial to some JDM goodness myself.
I think cars like the 350Z will become much more valued for what they offered, not too many smallish coupes that are manual,RWD and V6 up front being made these days.
Damn, that is a hell of an example.
You've clearly cherished and minded it so well.
I'm guessing it cant have been an easy decision to put it up for sale now.
Someone is going to get a top class Trophy,I'm sure you will find someone who will look after it as well as you have.
I'd be pretty happy with that Nick, strange what they did zeroing the mileage though?
I should have bought a Cherry red car, by the looks of it π
Red cars are faster and more lusted after,as many of you Trophy owners can attest to ππ
@NickReilly063 apologies for this being over on CC, not Iconic.
But, it just looks immaculate....

Coming close to the end of the auction and its going along nicely, Β£21,500 now.
@photo_ed your way of putting things is always spot on, that's the word I was trying
to (unsuccessfully) use to describe what I've read so many times and in so many reviews
of the Z3/4's handling and road manners, perplexing.
On paper and in the metal, they look like they have the perfect...
Lovely looking Z4 Nick.
BMW's Z cars have always seemed to be a bit of a curiosity.
They've never seemed to have hitten that revered status for the best handling convertibles, like say a Boxster.
This despite the fact BMW having a pretty long history of giving their more run of the mill saloons...
Tough one Nick....
I would love more than a few from that list, but if money was no object I'd have to select a few (not being greedy or anything π )
Oak Green Mk2 Gti 16V, lovely looking car...
Just curious, the write up for that Focus says it's coming from the previous owner after 7 years of ownership, yet it also says it's only had one registered owner?
Surely it would have more than one,if the last owner only had it for 7 years?
Am I missing something obvious or am I just being that...
I'll be sitting down and watching that in a little while, cant beat a bit of Harry for your Sunday night viewing.
If I remember correctly, the Trophy now belongs to his son/cameraman/sometimes contributor.
He took ownership a year or so ago.
Ford got it so right with the Mk1 Focus RS, that one is a beauty.
For once, I don't think that estimate is close to what it will sell for,
I cant see it selling for anything less than Β£35k at least.
Whoever gets it, will gave a cracking car and being such low mileage (verifiable as well)
along...
Looking at the shine of the paint, it must have gotten a respray at some point I reckon.
Ummm....not so sure about the black roof though.
And it looks like it also has the experimental, rear wheel steer option as well ;)
Looking at the shed,it seems to be pretty dry and doesn't look to be damp.
I think theres no pixie dust being used here, its the genuine, time gathered variety ππ
The interior looked really good as well from what I saw,and from experience,it doesn't take a lot to make them all mouldy etc. if...
