Now posted on PH, which brought me back here to find the thread.

I guess you learned your lesson and thankfully didn't take anyone else out in your bid to become a darwin candidate.
Anyway best of luck for the future and take...
Thanks for the bump. Car now sold and despite all the driving position issues (we moreorless got there in the end actually but I am going to be doing a lot of miles this year so company car ordered) I will miss it!
Now looking for a cup/mx5/bike as a weekend toy...

Great car, mint condition.
I'd tend to agree. The Trophys are holding their value better than people think.
Go and check out what similar mileage examples are selling for at present... :D
As I've said before, it is the best handling car I've ever driven. It goes around bends frighteningly well.
I could never throw the Z4 or S2000 around like this. The only thing that comes close is the 205 or 106 GTis and the (classic, 80s) modded Minis I owned.
I've driven a Boxster and...
Can I be cheeky and ask you to post a map with a line drawn along the route you took?
I'd love to take a trip along those roads. Who is up for a convoy starting at M5/M6/M42 interchange?
It was a bonus for me, my dogs go on the back seat (with a heavy duty seat cover on top) so I was glad to see something 'robust' and 'basic'. Also cheap to replace / easy to source if the worse happens and their claws rip it!
ITG AIr Filter. Purchased and decided not to fit. Purchased from MMS (£54.54 shipped).
Brand new in box, not opened. Still in oiled plastic wrapping.
£45 posted to your door, £10 saving.
OT Sorry
Ta for the heads up on the new CD, check out a band called 'The Breeders' also, its the two girls from the Pixies.
That's three fans then ;) although yours truly is listening to some cheesy Tribe Called Quest, IMHO another underrated group from the past, these boys show how to...
I was after a 172 cup but couldnt find a decent one so looked at 182s and Trophys. Unable to comment on the 172, thus.
The 182 cup pack handles well and I drove it back to back with the Trophy; even though the regular version is a composed handler, the Trophy is so much more direct and...
Hmmm, a non-owner. could well be on here looking to buy? Sorry if I have got a firm grasp of the wrong end of the stick but you can call me cynical if ya like
That said, FunkyMunky's comment is probably valid in that some people may be a little scared off as the suspension has...
That is far too cheap, it really is.
Ok so she has a few miles but you want to be asking at least £8k. The sort of price you are tabling here is possibly a touch less than artdealer would purchase off you for. PM the guy, he is a trophy sales specialist on this forum.
I am slightly...
I've seen a lot lot worse!
I think it actually looks quite good, I would be inclined to look at changing the small silver trim on the steering wheel also to match (again, like yourself I would use a 'spare' trim part in order to keep the originals for resale).
The car gets lots of stares on the motorway I noticed, although I was on an MPG run (just to see what it would do) so lots were coming past.
I reckon it must do something like 36MPG if you keep the speed 75ish or so. Not bad really. The Micra (1.4 auto) hire car I had before picking this...
Fair enough, although at least it is not just me it seems and I will see how I go, another 180mi trip tomorrow so I am getting lots of bedding in opportunity ATM 8)
Ahh gotcha. I am sure there are threads on a whole rewire also as I recall. From what I read, the option is to either put the crossover up under the dash or in the door. People wrote that wiring from the cabin through to the door was a bit of a PITA; with teh xover in the cabin - through to the...
There are quite a lot of threads over on Cliosport covering this, the door speakers are easiest to get to. If you wish to just swap those out it is a few minutes work, the speaker covers just pull off with a bit of leverage around the edges.
I read that the top of the dashboard assembly...
I had a Z4 3.0i, they offered it on the 3.0i in the 3 series also, IIRC. It is the most basic system and the version on the M3 is much more advanced, and in turn the new M3/M5 SMG box is better again.
To the poster above, I've always fancied a Subaru myself, but I hear the fuel consumption is...
Well I am sure things will work out one way or another, if nothing else all this various testing of driving positions is an excuse for lots of drives out in the country :D
