It's been years since I bought mine, and wonder if anyone can recommend me a good wash mitt & drying towel?
Alternatively, perhaps @NickReilly063 could come down to Cambridge to detail my car?
Cheers
Hi All
I have used a Bosch S4 001 44Ah 440A car battery for around 10 years. It works fine but I've been told it's not the official one for the 182.
Looking at other threads it appears others use it also.
I'm looking to get a new battery. What do people think?
Cheers
Not many people seem to watch EVO's podcast. Perhaps it's too nerdy? Not me. Anyway, this week John Barker picked the B660 as one of his top 3 roads. Now the B660 is about 30 miles from me, so I decided it was worth a cross country dash. I'm now back home and can say it is a very...
I have around 300-400 CAR and EVO magazines, most in mint condition. I very rarely re-read so now might be the time to move them on. Are they worth anything... perhaps a question for Ed? CAR issues 2011-2022 and EVO from around issue 064. One of the EVO magazines is signed by a number of EVO...
Hi All
Now that Spring is finally here I decided to tax the T yesterday. It was lovely to drive on some fairly quiet Cambridgeshire backroads, trying to avoid the endless potholes. For a 20 year old car it still gets noticed by those in the know.
Did anyone else do the same yesterday?
Some things in life never change, yearly road tax increases is one. I hear there will be more increases early next year, perhaps bigger than previous years.
I came across the following DVLA road tax summary. The Trophy is rated at 194 g/km CO emissions (band J). The current annual road tax...
Just spotted this very tidy UK registered Williams 1 on C/C that appears to be have been exported from the UK to Australia a few years ago....
time to import it back... https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1994-renault-clio-williams-1-5
I knew vehicles were cheaper in the US, but after a recent trip there I discovered just how much cheaper.
Certainly not the most exciting car but my taxi was an Oct 2023 registered Honda CR-V (new shape). It cost the owner $28k (give or take) so around £22k. That same car over here is £46k...
I’m interested in getting some but wonder if there are any negatives?
For example, I’m led to believe the frame lowers the seat by 1.5”. Does this mean the seat belt fastener ends up being 1.5” higher and potentially digs into your thigh?
Any idea how much extra legroom you get?
cheers

I've been in conversation with them about providing all forum members with Trophy-specific insurance, including AGREED VALUE insurance. I've been insured with them for several years and can vouch for their professionalism. If you've been with Adrian...
In this months EVO (just arrived) it was interesting to read what an ex-Trophy owner (from Switzerland) thought about his 6 months of ownership experience.
His letter is on p40 in the INBOX section.
For those that don't get EVO, he was generally underwhelmed with the whole experience being...
...for no reason other than to drive some of the best country roads around me. 40 miles later I'm still of the opinion these are great cars. Highlights include the overall feeling of lightness and how that translates to cornering speed. And I still think Trophys look lovely, small with a big heart.
Very positive experience following a recent refurb. Friendly, professional and genuinely enthusiastic. Plus the car drives like a dream now especially in the corners.
Just been out for a cross-country cruise/blast - wow - reminded me what a mega car it is!
Anyway - in a very long time (if at all) I lowered the steering wheel a little, and the driving position feels so much better. Less ape-like more F1-racer ;)
