Gorilla, haven't you got any mates?
Put the board in one of their Range Rovers!
If not you can fit a hook and tow a trailer - joking :-) (mind you, I think I remember seeing a photo on here of one a while back)!!
Interesting write up. Mine has virtually the same "mods" as yours althogh I use R888's on my 15" speedlines and I have STM's and use different pads - I'd suggest a bit of neg camber on the front will help enormously with the steering on track ( I used eibach bolts) - very cheap but effective!
:-). I bought my Clio with expensive dampers when I was the wrong side of 30, actually the wrong side of 50!! Still aspiring to being a chav....
BTW an M3 is not a more sensible car than a Clio ;-)
It would be so easy to say the wrong thing ....... (bites tongue) ... If you paint stripes on the car you will likely receive a visit from men wearing black leather jackets and shades asking you if you would like to re-consider your ideas :-)
My rocker switch used to play up a bit with the same symptoms as you gave; was going to change it but with a bit of use it seems to have corrected itself.
Every time there's an insurance post I am reminded of one (of the very few) advantages of being of a certain age :-) . I'm not gloating, your day will come.
Meanwhile, you pay the price for pleasure - enjoy all the same!
Apologies - off topic really ;-)
Sir David, You completely missed my point! I don't give a damn what anyone does with their own car, the point was that you could get a good price for the Trophy ( as it is a relatively sought after LE) and do the same to a cheaper 172, maybe even get your money back when it comes to selling it...
If you do buy it back and repair it you will need to have comprehensive photos of before and after, plus an independant engineers report on file - if not selling it on will be impossible without taking a huge loss: even then it wont be easy! If you are planning on keeping it then maybe.....
