    Anyone seen this?

Gorilla, haven't you got any mates? Put the board in one of their Range Rovers! If not you can fit a hook and tow a trailer - joking :-) (mind you, I think I remember seeing a photo on here of one a while back)!!

    Re: My Trophy - #433

Interesting write up. Mine has virtually the same "mods" as yours althogh I use R888's on my 15" speedlines and I have STM's and use different pads - I'd suggest a bit of neg camber on the front will help enormously with the steering on track ( I used eibach bolts) - very cheap but effective!

    Anyone seen this?

:-). I bought my Clio with expensive dampers when I was the wrong side of 30, actually the wrong side of 50!! Still aspiring to being a chav.... BTW an M3 is not a more sensible car than a Clio ;-)

    Coupla pics...

    It's a Vauxhall Corsa I think :-)

Gave the 182 a clay, polish and paint seal.... just afew pic

Colour coded polishing cloths mean we are in the presence of a pro! It was left there as a sign for us lesser mortals I reckon ;-)

Looks great, superb colour for the 182 that! You might have taken the polishing cloth off the bonnet pre photo though :-)

Iwas thinking of something a tad more professional :-)

    Small things

It would be so easy to say the wrong thing ....... (bites tongue) ... If you paint stripes on the car you will likely receive a visit from men wearing black leather jackets and shades asking you if you would like to re-consider your ideas :-)

    Flat Blade Wipers?

2 seconds - they come in pairs :-)

    Unidentified noise

It's a real easy job, disc and bearing replacement all in one, circa £100 iirc for the parts, 20 mins per side ( did mine myself).
  14. eljeffo64

    Gear Knob / Insert Replacement?

Totally agree - where did you source your replacement from?
  15. eljeffo64

    Flat Blade Wipers?

Yes, I have- Valeo I think, they are really good (been looking for similar for my 997 but not found any)

    Unidentified noise

    Rear wheel bearing perhaps??

    Again Number 14

As per my earlier response on your other thread on the same topic; I'd suspect an intermittant/ faulty switch...

    Serv & Traction Control Light

Different rolling radius = different wheel speeds = computer thinks there's a traction problem; basic maths.

    Serv & Traction Control Light

There are some existing threads on this - uneven tyres ( part worn) and/or cv gaiter jube clip coming off on one side caused mine.

    After the Trophy

Hmmmm, it's kinda cool; if you've always wanted one then unless you get one you always will!

    Cruise Control and Limiter

My rocker switch used to play up a bit with the same symptoms as you gave; was going to change it but with a bit of use it seems to have corrected itself.

    #110 failed MOT! :(

Very much doubt it's the system, sensor is the prime candidate.

    Insurance

Every time there's an insurance post I am reminded of one (of the very few) advantages of being of a certain age :-) . I'm not gloating, your day will come. Meanwhile, you pay the price for pleasure - enjoy all the same! Apologies - off topic really ;-)

    182 headlight washers?

What do you mean no refinements, mine has an electric starter and a heater! :-)

    upgrade coming soon....

Sir David, You completely missed my point! I don't give a damn what anyone does with their own car, the point was that you could get a good price for the Trophy ( as it is a relatively sought after LE) and do the same to a cheaper 172, maybe even get your money back when it comes to selling it...

Take note all you sub 100nm wheel bolt torquers! You were lucky Luke :-)

Salvage costs Cat D Clio Trophy

If you do buy it back and repair it you will need to have comprehensive photos of before and after, plus an independant engineers report on file - if not selling it on will be impossible without taking a huge loss: even then it wont be easy! If you are planning on keeping it then maybe.....

Salvage costs Cat D Clio Trophy

Depending on price- I'd buy and break it, sad with such a car but a good earner if you do it correctly :-(

    upgrade coming soon....

Mmmmmm . Kinda making it into "not a Trophy" why not sell it, buy a cheaper 172 and mod that?
