My local track, Pau Arnos; 90 euros all day 60 for a half day. Midweek there are normally about a dozen of us - occasionally we share with an F3 school and some Legends cars. Weekend days are busier. Next one this Weds :-)
Looks like I'll have more free time on Sundays from next year! Sky's not getting my patronage. What a shame, a terrible decision imo. Ecclestone will get even shorter now with the weight of the extra cash in his wallet, mercenary midget!
At least I can follow it on French telly (bad presenters...
Agree totally - mine went the same way just after I bought it (and it threw up a cel for some reason) - unless you plan on keeping it for only a short while, it makes no odds financially whether you change the system now or in another 6 months (given that you have the cash available); the only...
Might be worth leaving the glove box open (with nothing in it) so any would be robbing bstard can see, without smashing the side window, that there's nothing to nick! Shouldn't have to resort to such measures really - sign o the times....
I travelled from SW France to Nottingham to view mine! Don't panic- If there is a serious buyer out there they will travel for the right car; and you don't want non serious tyre kickers wasting your time. Good luck with the sale, be patient ;-)
I would have thought that coil pack would give problems when running also (when the temp is up in the engine bay) not just a starting problem. Although with enough heat soak in the engine bay when stopped it could be the problem; what about fuel filter/ fuel vapor lock due to excessive heat in...
If you do decide to clean the MAF/throttle body be careful - delicate inside, easy to completely fox it up if you are not gentle !
Btw, the noise (a light buzzing) is normal with ign on; not sure if it's from the throttle body (stepper motor) or the ecu but mine does it too (so does Tinker's -...
Before I'd touch anything I'd take it back and tell them it runs worse since the work they did and question them about the timing.... As soon as you clean/touch/play with it they'll tell you it's your fault - if they are perfectionists they'll sort it out !
They are too worried about the car having the steering wheel on the wrong/right* side [* delete as necessary]!!
Re Porsche trackdays,my first hand experience suggests that it's normally the old'ns that can actually drive them :-)
I had a knock front nearside, and it didn't track straight under very hard braking - a month later the shock was dead. Refurbed then all was ok. Sounds like you might be heading the same way. :-(
