If you bought it in Sept 2005 then the belts are due within the next 17 days ! But I notice you are getting the service and MOT done prior to sale, that will be painful if you want to keep your full dealer service history intact. IMO the price is fair if the service/belts are done; good luck...
So, if we don't agree with you we are bitching?
If you are that sensitive then possibly there's a little weakness in the point you make, maybe?....
Following others like sheep, or lamb to the slaughter perhaps, cheer up it's just a debate :-)
To cover themselves against what?
Cambelt changes at the specified intervals fall well outside the normal warranty window.... You must know more than they do; but I, like most others (imo), would prefer to follow industry reccs. and keep the chances of a motor catastrophy down to the minimum...
i changed my plugs recently at about 50k too and used copperslip so agree with the posters above they cost very little really and it is a simple job also if there is corrosion there can be a real risk of seized plugs meaning head off remedial work
cant find the caps button or punctuation keys...
Good question.... I changed my flywheel on my Ducati for a lighter one; throttle response was way better but tickover a real moose; not aware of anyone doing this with a T????
I've never done one on a Renault, but would guess a good 2 to 3 hours (if you know what you're doing) plus parts?? (new friction plate and release bearing if all is healthy).
N0 - thankfully; but I'm in SW France so if I'd posted them over for a refurb and then got them back and they were faulty it would be a massive pita to say the least! I'll be doing mine over the winter this year so have to hope that BG (or who ever)have the time to not rush the re-assembly .....
Glad it's ok now :-)
Good job you didn't send them to him from far away (like SW France for example) only to have them returned to you with the problem !! ....
No QA there I assume?
My Miltek works for me, not brash - mellow sound and seems to perform well : ideal for the more mature yob (like me) - Tinker has a 192 on his T, louder than mine (nice noise mind) but harder to live with on longer runs imo.
Ha hah!!! I'm sure they did, £850 :-) :-) - jokers.....
The cat is the first bit - with the sensors either side.
Time for a nice new, lighter, louder, cheaper, stainless system!
Yes, you're correct, but 30 mm drop from standard not 30mm from worn out
That said, 30 mm shorter springs ought to be lower than (even) trucked damper ride height...
Sorry, can't help with a garage rec. ; I'm in SW France.......
Nickboazracing, this one is ment for you surely :-)
Fully gassed and refurbed dampers would, logically, revive the ride height to standard; the ride height would have (of ;-) ) been lower whilst in need of the re-build??
