Yes, on the French forums they love them - plus, the RS-R's I saw looked fairly similar to the Toyo tread pattern - have a look.....

Anyone tried Federal 595 RS-R's : semi slicks like R888's - they are significantly cheaper than Toyo's and seem to get good write up's elsewhere. I'm need a new set of track only rubber (was on 888's) and might try them ????
I'm really in SW France, been here 5 years. A couple of hours from Toulouse, near Pau. There are two brit Trophy's here (Tinker, on here, also has one); if you ever bring the T down and fancy an afternoon at Pau Arnos (our local circuit) pm me :-)

That's where I start - you could go a couple of psi lower on the rear if you fancy it - In this weather (i.e yesterday on track here) mine worked "best" at 32/30 hot - however, "best" and yesterday's trackday is the subject of another tyre story!!
In brief - it was the first time out since...
I'd start with stock settings on the shox for 5 or so laps, then add 10 clicks and do another 5, then decide which way to go from there. Depends on the track and how cold it is but (on std rims with road tyres) start at 28 cold and see how it feels - DONT go too low or you'll eat the front...
The ktec one (like mine) comes laquered, good shiny finish that could be flatted and painted direct imo.
(but all that extra weight of the paint.....)
At a guess, I'd say the dial set isn't compatible (is it for a 172 cup??) - it's all plug in so unlikely you've done anything wrong. Maybe change back to the originals and see if all is better??
Not if you want to pass an mot!
There are non oem options that are cheaper as replacements.
ps how do you know yours is going? If it's a dash light then more likely just the lambda sensor (or, as mine was, knackered rear boxes).
Rufus; like you I never did the hot hatch thing (a question of age!) - boy was I missing out... I've had some interesting stuff and still have a healthy and interesting garage; last year I found a T, never looked back :-)
I use it a bit on the road but more for trackdays (to save my poor 997...
Different RR's will give different results, the same RR might give different results on different days. The results you have will be at the flywheel. Although a difference of 9.1 is large...
The Jam numbers are way optimistic imo :-)
Mine gave 171bhp on the ktec rollers (which I was pleased...
Hi Swiss Mike; welcome to the forum; I had exactly the same problem - dampers! ; Mine didn't seem to be knackered as they seemed very solid both sides and had the normal gap expected at the top of the remote reservoirs (at 53k miles though thought they might need a re-furb so sent them off 2...
