H, not noticed any abnormal or excessive tyre wear with my set up; granted, I don't do big miles but I do keep a keen eye on it all and after circa 5k all looks fine, tyre wise...
Easy, buy a Trophy, they are cheap; if you don't like it (impossible) then sell it on without any capital loss and buy one of the others for at least double the amount!. Just make sure the Trophy is properly sorted before you buy it. :-)
As said, it depends what you want it for; having driven all 3, but owning (amongst other things) the Trophy - the T does it for me. The 200 cup is a damn fine car though. The meg was ok (quick but a bit lardy). If I was in the megane market I'd have a focus RS instead!
Totally with you on this W. All questions are valid! - an early answer would have kept the thread clean... Any opinion on whether or not refurbs or services are needed are purely subjective - only the purchaser can decide. If it's a good one, hope the owner shows up on here.
 :roll...
Deleted! I, personally, don't agree with any form of censorship!; (and the car is still for sale and might be just right for someone) but I agree with you, in so far as this has gone way off topic.
SD, in an earlier post you quoted a price for Gould, if they now don't refurb them and you are relying on the word of the prev owner, how do you know it's correct, and thus cheaper than BG ??
p.s. bummer about your spare box!!
Hey, thanks to the OP for creating such an animated thread. It's winter (still) and a bit slow on here :-)
Plus, no harm done - he's just young and motivated ;-)
No problem at all! - I'd probably buy it if I was in the market for one, but as Hoolio said, if someone asks a question, which they are entitled to do, then a simple answer is normally no problem....
Always a risk, as well as potential tyre damage - Tinker (a member here) quickly trashed a pair of fronts driving on knakered shocks. However, his were both properly gone and with absolutely zero damping, i.e. really bouncy.
That said, my drivers side went and I drove on it for a couple of...
hmmm, lucky you I say; The two T's I know well, mine needed doing, Tinkers needed doing - both around the 50k miles mark - mine with a fair amount of track work and Tinker's with hardly any. I'd want them done if I was buying a secondhand T now that's for sure (unless the price was right).
