    Supersprint exhaust system

I've never seen one fitted on a Clio, maybe because of the cost compared to UK made systems. But they are very high quality with all systems developed on a dyno & I believe meet all Euro drive by noise regulations so quieter than most aftermarket stuff. Very highly regarded in integrale...

    A Liquid Yellow Trophy...

Lovely car. One pic further highlights us RHD owners getting short changed on our cars. The interior light is back to front with the map Reading light on driver side when of course it should be on passenger side. I managed to fit the 182 interior light onto a Trophy (poverty spec) holder but...

    Whiteline ARB's

It's not worrying, nervous describes a car that is very keen to change direction, so if your say driving along a motorway which is straight you can find yourself constantly correcting the steering as car seeks out every camber change, it's eagre to change direction. It's why so many new cars are...

    Whiteline ARB's

I've not experienced the rear Whiteline bar on a Clio, but I did fit the uprated (thicker than OEM) adjustable rear anti-roll bar on my Celica GT4 ST205 and it was fantastic. Turn in was very good, cornered very flat, rear end much more communicative, in fact on stiffest setting made car kick...

    Reno parts prices

You had a shunt? I would imagine such items ate expensive new so would source good used. Or get good used rear items and a carbon bonnet but get it painted at same time so car still looks great and not trashy, butyou get a weight saving in the correct area.

    Latest evo

I'm an EVO subscriber, and look forward to the mag dropping through my letter box every month, have done for years. But as with all laptimes, there are so many factors to take into account. Driver, environmental conditions, including air temperature and humidity, air speed and direction, car's...

    trophy life expectancy

Just look at the thread on the one for sale on Pistonheads which has near 170K on the clock. Any modern engine will last hundreds of thousands of miles if maintained correctly. Similarly any engine abused will fail quickly. The long term durability testing modern engines go through in...

Brembo Max Grooved Discs - eBay

My car has Brembo Max fitted with Pagid blue pads, they work very well, though as with all grooved disc's a bit noisier than flat disc's. When it comes do disc's hard to beat Brembo products.

    Rear Suspension.

Renault Wolverhampton sell stuff on eBay which ate well priced the rear brake disc/pad combo is good value & of course stiff is posted. May be worth asking them how much 2 dampers & springs would cost. £76 for 2 hours labour is good most dealers now are near £100 an hour.

    Rear Suspension.

OK even after yesterdays antics involving the need to correctly call dampers, dampers and not shocks, shock absorbers or other incorrect phrases, we still have people doing it. So I thought this link may help people remember (may not be work safe)...

    Rear Suspension.

If you dig deep enough every single garage will have had a customer complaint, even the recognised specailists. And some of those complaints make your hair stand on end, but not many peple ever bother writting really good experiences, well not about norml run of the mill garages. As it's only...

    Front Shock gone

Phew I thought it was just me, for some reason I find myself getting annoyed at dampers being called shocks or shock absorbers. A friend of mine who runs Lunar Racing over at Rockingham chastises his apprentices for it and gives them the damper , spring ( shock absorber) talk! Though looking...

    Rear Suspension.

If it's just to fit the items, then I'm sure he's still trading, look up Florida Motors in Battlefield near Victoria Infirmary he was/is a Renault specailist. Guy who runs it is called Eddie used to get him to do some things on my 5 GTT many years ago before I had learned to do everything...

Hi, nice to meet you & talk about the cars.

    Front Shock gone

If you mean your damper has gone, then I suggest you read through this foum as it has been well covered and get them refurbished by BG Motorsport @Silverstone for about £450ish the pair. I know I'm being pedantic and I blame the Americans for us using the term shock to describe a damper now. The...

243 still clean after RS meet yesterday.

I think now that people have seen it in the flesh, and I have taken the time to get some decent pics with the Nikon DSLR, rather than the hurried pictures taken on the Olympus point & click makes a world of differance to what the car was maybe percieved like before. I agree the carbon items ca...

    Rear Suspension.

With most things on the suspension/brakes you should always replace in matched pairs. Springs because they settle with use & time, by replacing 1 you will get uneven ride height from side to side which is not good. Dampers because their effectivness reduces with use, so performance drops off...

243 still clean after RS meet yesterday.

Thanks, as with mos things not everything will be liked by everyone but hopefully when people see the car as a whole it's cohesive. I did have some folk asking about the car suprisingly the A-pillars being flocked was noticed by people from outside. Steering wheel is original re-trimmed.

243 still clean after RS meet yesterday.

Thanks. Normally I just wash the wheels trying to remove once a month to clean inside as well with just Auto Glym or Meguires wash products. If they get really dirty I'll use Wonder Wheels Universal which is meant for diamond cut or delicate wheels so not harmful like some wheel cleaners can be...

Anyone fitted Update List Cabasse HU

After confirming my thoughts by checking on the RenaultSport UK website and checking the specifications list, it is confirmed that the standard 'Update List' headunit is 4x22W, but 'Update List' 'Cabasse Auditorium' headunit is 4x40W output and was fitted to "full-fat" Clio 182's, not the Cup's...

Trophy heading towards Towcester this evening.

Yeah guy I bought it from was from Southern Ireland, really nice chap and knew his cars, had all sorts from Caterhams to Fiat 20V Coupes. Though before I bought it I came on here found the last owner and asked him some questions about the car. They didn't have a clue that there was a 6disc CD...

Trophy heading towards Towcester this evening.

Yeah that was before they became a Renault dealer. I met the salesman just before Christmas and he was no longer working for them. He told me after I had got them to do a full cam/aux belt change and 5 year service at 24K 4years which took there workshop a day and half before I would buy the...

Trophy heading towards Towcester this evening.

That is my car, but my partner Emma had borrowed it for work today. She told me when she got home and was excited about the fact she borrowed the car for one day and saw another Trophy when I never see any, well apart from the one that's always sat in her office car park with guy she works with...

Nightmare day - Solid top mount question...........

One thing to consider when buying solid top mounts for the Clio is if your car has had the strut tops modified at some point, probably by Renault to stop the knocking noise. Its obvious to tell as the hole in the top of the strut will no longer be round, it will be enlarged, almost oval in...

    after the trophy...

Electric power steering is getting better, BMW M division refuse to use it even though ever single other BMW product uses it because it doesn't give the feel or feedback or hydraulic (i'll spell it right this time I'll blame the last post's incorect spelling because it was done on a phone :D )...
