My journey home from work (and too for that matter) goes through a village with a speed camera as you enter the village after sweeping left. About 100 metres from the camera is a pole with three signs, pedestrians, speed camera and a large 40. A little after that are two posts either side of the...
Well those pics are an eye opener 😳 I was a little freaked out to discover some surface rust on the rear rails a while back and whilst I checked the inside of the rear quarters back then and found nothing, I will be having a closer look soon.
Well the owner is on here so hope not to offend. I don’t think it was the engine mods though a buyer will always wonder how well that has been done. I think it was in the detail of the final finish.
Well I won! Although I somehow think that £30 is not quite going to cover it :(
GPH, I’ll echo Jas. It’s good to hear a little of the backstory to these cars, it is a real shame that the collection is to now be split.
Lol, I had wondered how long it would be before hole picking started. To be honest I saw this at one of the Renault World Series at Silverstone(?) a lot of years ago and I didn’t think it was all that even back then. Having said that, as above, condition is not going to be the main driver during...
I just think that first paragraph is a bit clumsy and if skimmed can imply that you are selling a one owner car. The fact you are having to defend the description “again” kinda points to that.
The Pitlane car is not advertised as a one owner car though. The advert is misleading in that respect and you have to read the first paragraph carefully.
Well it’s become obvious he is shielding the car to a certain extent, eBay sale, no questions answered and the above and is just using the bullet points to sell the car. It’s Been pretty successful I guess but as a friend said in a message, forking out £14+k on a Clio that needs to be trailered...
I’m pretty sure it’s on here somewhere but I’ve posted so much trash over the years I can’t find it! I took the picture with a phone that will no longer power up and saved (I think) on an old works computer.
I’ll keep looking.
No, pretty sure not. I don’t think they were ever a spare part being part of the “packing” for transport.
I have a picture somewhere of a brand new Trophy with little square foam blocks stuck to various places on the bodywork.
I still have one and a half of my under bonnet pads.
Well my guess he is reading this thread and is probably not liking some of the unflattering opinions lol. Having said that, at nearly £15k why should he care?
Well it’s not really a barn find is it. By its condition and parts collection someone put it away intending to get it back up to standard and has lost interest. With the mileage, parts and condition there is almost no point in presenting it refurbished. It’s going to go for good money.
You have to remember that back in 2012 they were worth peanuts and if it had a major issue then the owner might have cut his losses, who knows? Probably as rotten as a peach now, but an excellent parts bin.
I don’t think you should feel embarrassed about wanting to keep your cars stored properly. We have all seen a few cars that that have been stored and look like they have been pulled from a pond and I know that many garages are much damper than people realise with humidity easily into the 90’s...
Not sure what the confusion is regarding the decal on the wheel (or have I got it wrong) The picture I posted was of one of the new set I have to illustrate what they looked like new. You can just about see the decal on the set on my car although now very faint. These decals were on all Trophy’s...
A. Hold off selling till the spring.
B. Sachs might last five minutes or another 35k
C. Get the work done, who really wants to spend more time and money on a new purchase.
