Can you do me a favour if you still have these can you measure the length when open, im looking at getting a set of rear dampers from avo that are adjustable and full open length is 550mm so need to know if there similar or not.
Hello mate, just thought i would post up as i saw you live in Guildford im local to you i live in Horsham. How bad is the damage on the head and the piston? I have seen at Bridges in Crawley they had a 172 cup there they were stripping the engine out of this was on sat just gone, its worth a...
Air con dye is a green/yellow colour and is a lot brighter and the pag oil used is clear in newer vehicles so i would rule that out. It looks to me like anti-freeze but its not the standard colour, i just checked and the renault stuff i got a few months back was green in colour but when mixed...
If its still running and drivable then i would say if its an electrical fault light then it should be ok to drive it however i would suggest if you got AA cover and home start then they can come out and plug it in for you iv had it done on a previous car saves you some cash if its an easy fix...
I have finally got a set of dampers booked in for 16th May, im currently running vehicle on old dampers however have a lower mileage set in the garage that are in better nick that im getting re-built.
Im planning on also getting the casings and reservoirs shot blasted and painted due to...
Looks to me like anti-freeze however the 182's i think of the top of my head should be of a yellow/green colour so either you had the wrong type put in at some point or its something else, thing is you cant see a lot with the under-tray on so would be worth looking under bonnet see it the level...
Sounds good to me and its the manifold on the 182 as its then end of the 4-2-1 system, a down pipe is usually what is connected between the manifold and the cat on older vehicles and usually contains a flexible joint, newer vehicles have a tendency to run the cat now within the manifold due to...
Can i correct, first 2 pictures are the manifold as its one piece and last picture is cat hope that clears it up.
As for replacement replace manifold sensor only, erase codes & recheck for fault.
Liam
Hold your horses don't do both theres no point unless both are coming up on diagnostics then it will be to do with air coming into engine.
Firstly the picture supplied is not a 182 the lambda sensor sits on the manifold end not the cat end, thats the first sensor and the one that is faulty...
Bank 1, sensor 1 will be first sensor in the manifold, i had same issue when first purchasing my vehicle and got mine done under warranty just to save some cash more than anything, anyway looks as though your need a lambda sensor i think from renault there around the £90-100 but don't quote me...
Jonc this came up in another post so just need to clear this up about the service interval which is 2 years. It something i don't recommend i changed mine on a 6 month basis due to stop start journeys causing more engine wear than normal, and i would recommend at least an oil and filter change...
Actually your service intervals for oil change on a renault on all models of clio mk2 is 2 years, however its an annual service yearly. But your welcome to change more often if your like me its usually every 6 months due to short journeys.
There's a reason why merc's use it its due to smart cars not having a sump plug so this is the only method out there.
As for doing an oil change this was it's good in one sense if you changing on a regular basic however i would still recommend out of the sump plug every 2 years as per service...
Best thing to do is get it plugged in before going further, anyone with a snap-on diagnostic equipment or rs tuner with abs function will be able to do this for you, that should give you more of an idea of where the fault is coming from as it could be a number of things.
Are those wheels white? if so any chance you can fit them then take a picture just want to see what white alloys would look like on the T.
As for the pink i hope your going fluorescent. Think for a track car that would look quite mad or even fluorescent green and orange lol. I also hope there...
There is a listing for miles/years however yours is such low mileage that you will have to go on year now not on miles as age is a factor on many components such as timing belt's these nowdays on newer vehicles range from 4-6 years and peugeot using a 10 year interval.
Being a Trophy if its a...
Programing central locking procedure listed bellow, i would personally try a disconnection of battery for 10 mins then give this a go failing that.
Point key at infrared receiver (located near rear view mirror).
Press vehicle central locking button for more than 2 seconds,
Doors should lock...
There is mixed views on Toyo T1R's however iv had them fitted to my previous car but i did find that they went out of shape and the sidewalls were bit soft, i use to get a bit of a distant feel, they did last just over a year which wern't too bad.
These were replaced with Avon ZZ3's which i...
Nice car i been looking into these you seem to get alot for your money its more the insurance thats a killer as i been looking for a R33 GTST not up for a R32 GTR even though i been offered one for £3k i just don't fancy the 4 wheel drive system yet i know it can be bypassed by switching off the...
The rear axle in the 182 is a solid axle one piece, the only issue you will most likely get is is you have a smack on one side and you get a bend in the beam.
The other issue is rear axle bushes or trailing arm bushes whatever you like to call them, mine are starting to perish/split and there a...
I have to admit i saw them and thought shall i as i know there not the best of tyres, however since having them fitted, for winter and wet weather there miles ahead of anything iv tried before. And considering our weather in this country makes sense to be running them for daily driver especially...
When first purchasing the T i had Michelin PE2's on the rear and Bridgestone ER300 on front, i don't rate the Bridgestone however iv recently been able to get hold of some Pirelli Pzero Nero, now in the dry compared to PE2's they dont compete, dont get me wrong they handle like a dream but if...
When you say warning lights, which ones and have you ever had them looked into'? the universal eobd readers can read engine codes if its the engine management light flicking up.
It sounds as though your best starting at the loom would be an idea to make sure all solder joints are covered and well soldered/connected. The fuel level sender wiring at the back of the instrument panel is an orange wire from what information i have here but i may be incorrect.
If the pump...
What it sound like is a sensor level fault is one issue as for the cutting out its either you have no or very little fuel in the tank and all the lights on the dash indicate that the engine has stopped and all you have is the ignition on.
Fill the car with fuel then check to see when the...
Re: pics of my albi blue clio 200
Very nice i especially like the cup spoiler just finishes the look.
That exhaust kit is a rather expensive system, very nice mind, also what happens with the warranty situ fitting an after market exhaust system?
If its at a high end price and without the dampers done then offer them £1k less than they have it up for or ask them to get the dampers done within the price bracket. See what they say if they say no then you know to just walk away and keep your eye out for another one.
Most of the well...
I just wanted to post to say if your ever confused or just need any help with technical information you only have to ask were all more than willing to lend a hand.
Just as 'blueseidboy' states your best off looking for a Trophy with FSH from some renault specialists not just FRSH.
As for...
