You only buy the Trophy for its dampers, so its pointless buying one without.
If you want a track only car, get a 172 cup and stick KW V2's on it. Will save you about £3k as well.
Sachs are great for road, but there is better stuff out there for track imho.
Really
A £2.5k cup is worth £2k in parts, so it will depreciate an absolute max of £500 over the life of the vehicle.
A 182 Trophy will cost £6.5k, & is worth £2.5k in parts. Thats £4k in depreciation over the life of the vehicle.
I should know, i sold a mint expensive trophy & bought...
I've copied & pasted the entire product info guide from JMS into here for everyone to view:

RS2 Extra is still in development, so no point copying that thread over, but the JMS info is as follows:
Just a little insight into further developments here at JMS.

The JMS RS2 Intake Manifold
The RS2 Manifold as it has been named, is a ground breaking product for the ph2 range of RenaultSport Clios.
Traditional NA tuning methods surrounding the 2.0 Litre Renault engine involve extensive & costly changes to either the engines internals, or via ITB...
You'll give it far more stick at a track than at the 'ring tbh, unless you're planning on going through the barriers lol.
As an aside, my 172 cup did 11 laps in one afternoon last time i went, so a Trophy would be fine.
Its a clio, not an italian thoroughbred lol
Apex are horrific.
Please do not mention them in the same sentence as Trophy again
I hear Sportlines or Mark Fish are the way to go, no personal experience of either though im afraid.
I'm trying a Whiteline ARB before anything else. Will post a full review after Brands on the 28th...
The one on the Trophy is new, & in perfect condition, so im taking it off, & putting a broken one on - purely to go with the 'shed' theme ...
As such, the mint one is for sale if anyone wants it.
Common fault iirc.

Re: 2005 Renault Clio Trophy, over 7K spent! Big Spec!
I have receipts for over £10k from Renault (car has done 172 miles) - that doesnt mean the car is worth £10k more ...
Yup, had its 1st cambelt service on 72k, after 11 months of ownership
Now relegated to track days only, so not entirely sure the original 172k mile engine, clutch & gearbox will last ...
Thanks for all the positive comments people, i really do love these cars
Was supposed to be selling it, purely in an effort to be sensible, but after the fun at Haynes on Saturday, i simply cant get rid of it. Well that & the fact that my gf also loved driving it around the track -...
Trophy #461
No clean shots in here detailing freaks.
It gets driven, & it gets driven hard. 172k miles & counting.
Mud is courtesy of the field at Haynes, which was perfect for handbrake turns ;)
Trophy # 433 (now owned by Luke_89)
On its holidays in August...
They're not Eibach, i called all the independent spring manufacturers a couple of weeks ago as i was fed up with the rubbish being spouted by certain parties. The springs are made by a British coil spring manufacturing company, who strangely enough wouldnt give me the specs
Re: the OP's...

(i have the rears as well, they're just in the car at the moment)
Will do a deal if you are interested in both bits.
Im in Basingstoke, Hampshire, or...
