Same, the only 'ruined' one on CS is the one with H&R coilovers, & he's still got the standard stuff in the shed ...
Dooes have god damn awful BBS wheels though!!
Mine back to standardish now, i have upgraded the seats though, to the more comfortable 'normal' 172 interior ;)
To be honest, i think you would struggle to get 9 grand for it.
Someone will bite at 8 as it is a decent enough price with all the mods done though.
Personally, if you dont really need the money, id just keep it.
I know ive mentioned this before, but ill say it again to clarify.
JMS no longer exist as a company
Tom has been working as a farmer for the past 3 months
He has no intention, or desire to ever work on a clio again
As such, you are probably wasting your time trying to contact him.
As is insulating tape to hold the ECU wiring together ...
KTEChnically one of them is still in charge of fitting throttle bodies, ECU's & Cams though, & the other is still working in 519Automotive circles, so they didnt disappear.
Why would they lol, MVM just bought their old workshop equipment & took over the lease of the building.
They've got ansolutely nothing to do with JMS, just happens that they have the same address.
TDF are based in GDI's old building, but they arent responsible for GDI's work - luckily for them...
The 'graining' is just rubber thats stuck to the tyres when warm, will fall off as soon as they get hot again :D
As far as im aware, the difference in offset simply increases the track width.
Where abouts are you based?
I've just chucked a fiver in, hopefully that'll get the ball rolling at least.
Also dont mind becoming a mod if required - am on here literally all day.
Done two trackdays in my ownership (about 500 miles), then another 1 with the previous owner.
Wheels, under the dirt, are a polished/chromy type of finish.
Tyres are the GG (medium) compound.
Bottom two have approx 2-3mm tread, top one (the other one is exactly the same) have about 4-5mm...
lol.
Whilst i dont generally put cars back together, i know that when breaking clio's, we normally drop the subframe to get the box out, then lift the engine out using a bit metal pole & a seatbelt... using an engine crane makes things considerably easier!!!
I've already mentioned this to the mods as well.
When i get to work the 1st thing i do at 8.15am is log onto here & CS - would be very easy for me to just delete all the sh1te.
Tom has disappeared off the face of the earth, havent seen him for a couple of months. Considering none of his mates can get hold of him, i very much doubt you will lol ... James has been finishing off the RS2 orders iirc.
MWM have NOTHING to do with JMS, they simply bought the equipment in the...
MWM are a business in they're own right & have been for years iirc, they simply purchased the workshop, & agreed to carry on working on Clio's - its a decent little money earner i would imagine, no one else around here that works on them really.
To be fair, thats exactly why i got rid of my 1st one when i did!!
Paid 7 grand in May 2010 for a 50k miler, sold it in October 2010 for £6500 with 63k miles.
If id put another 30k on it, it would have been worth about 4 grand now!!
