Thought you said you had a text from him saying it was clear?
Unfortunately, with no proof of the cambelt being done, & it being Cat D, if you sell you are going to lose a lot.
Strictly speaking, if you have it in writing from him that the car is HPI clear, you may have a legal case - purely as you specifically asked him, & he lied. However, unfortunately, this just proves how important an HPI check is. Trust nobody. Gutted for you Clart.
Why dont you just keep it...
Basingstoke is full of them lol.
Mine, one in the flats next door, 'Badgerman' around the corner, another one that drives near my house everyweek when they play footy. Couple more floating around as well. Never see them anywhere else though to be fair!
Ktec Upper Engine Mount - bought 2nd hand, but not fitted to my car as of yet.
£85 delivered.
For sale as i only bought them for the Llandow trackday and then it rained, so they werent used
These are the 7x15" ET38 version (normally only available in white), that have subsequently been...
Always used to be Speedline direct. CS members get a 10% discount as well. I have some Gold ET38 ones (freshly refurbed) with Hankook RS2's that i could probably be parted with for the right price ...
Not adjustable for bump or rebound, fixed damping & variable ride height.
But yes, it comes with springs & monotube dampers - essentially Bilstein front & rear dampers, with H&R custom spring rates.
Before everybody on CS became obsessed with having everything fully adjustable & stiff for...
Well, after fitting them last week, setting the front camber to -2 degrees negative on Friday and doing the Llandow trackday with CS yesterday, i can safely say that the H&R's are very worthy replacement to the Sachs.
Handling is nigh on exactly the same as the Sachs/Sportline combo that i had...
They do come with the balljoints, but those ones wont fit - the 182 Cup/Trophy wishbones are Renault only, the normal 1*2 ones wont fit. Same with the track rods :)
The ball joints/track rods are interchangeable however.
They make ones for the 172 & 182 without the cuppacks (54mm bolt spacing on front suspension), but nothing for the 182 Cup/Trophy unfortunately due to the 60mm bolt spacing :( The choice is essentially H&R, Spax or AST - unless you want tat like Vmaxx or Raceland.
Thanks, i was aiming to get it roughly the same height as when it had the Sportlines :)
I'll pm you about the coilies, but they are circa £910 from Kam, £865 from ECP if you can blag 10% discount somehow lol.
Thats the problem in a nutshell tbh, i wasnt prepared to give BG £700 quid to refurb some dampers that have already done 185k miles. Unfortunately the other option that i was looking into cant do them either :( which left me with the H&R/Spax/AST decision.
AST - too expensive, bit too track...
Also fitted the RC5+ front pads, had forgotten how silly they were epic braking is restored.
Shame that the cost of refurbing the Sachs is quite so ridiculous, but hey ho, allows me to try something else i guess.
Or perhaps not.
This is a Trophy afterall ... Handling > Lowz:up:
On Sachs / Sportlines
On H&R's
Very pleased so far, ride is lovely, far better than the Sachs in fact, which would imply that they are probably a little softer. Havent really pushed it particularly hard as the camber/toe...
