Ahh, hadnt seen that before!! Might be quite useful as i cant be bothered to remove the cat ...
My only concern would be the additional noise it generates, as the BTB isnt exactly quiet anyway, so id be a little more concerned about decibels & noise limits :?
I dont! Theres no bench lol. But by leaving the backrest/parcel shelf in, it still allows me to use the boot for non-visible storage, ie tools, spare parts, etc. I dont have a garage you see ... helps keep the drone of the exhaust at a minimum as well
For trackuse, i just rip the whole...
Will see what i can do  Doing Donington on 13th Match, so will have to get my camera working!!
Re: the rear discs, cars been sat at home since its last track day in November, so it needs a good drive (with the handbrake on lol) to clear all the surface rust me thinks ...
Re: long...
Ok, so i dont normally whore, but thanks to James (JMS) and Mike (FailSport) last night, the TroFail is now finished. I'm sure a few of you will have read my project thread, & i'll update that with more info than in here, but chuffed isnt the word, it drives brilliantly & looks ruddy lovely imho...
Cost of Sportlines 2nd hand = £50
Cost of MF Springs = £220
No brainer really. If they're cr4p ill get some custom ones made up.
Iirc the Sportlines are roughly the same poundage as the standard ones, which im fairly happy with anyway.
I have a whiteline ARB at the moment, & will be fitting Sportlines & eibach camber bolts for -2 degrees of front camber in the next week or so. Wont be able to give a proper overview until Donington in March though unfortunately :(
Got your pm Steve, thought id respond here :)
Basically i changed as tyres are considerably cheaper, i tend you use T1R's as whilst they wear quickly, esp. on track, at £30 a corner you cant really complain!
In addition, 15's are generally lighter (even 2118's that are made of lead lol) and as...
You are actually the 1st person in the world to say this.
I assume you have the correct Renault timing tools & have completed the task on many occasion?
Perhaps you should setup shop as a 1*2 specialist & offer your services?
Personally, i would only take it to a well recognised Renault Specialist, certainly not any old bunch of muppets on the 'good garage scheme' ... correct timing tools are required and even 'specialists' have been known to bugger up the timing on many occasions. My Trophy even came with incorrect...
If you want aftermarket, personally id stick to Pro Race 1.2's or something - very easy to get hold of if you are unfortunate enough to have a problem. 2nd hand sets with tyres tend to go for about £250.
Alternatively, many people simply run PH1 172 Oz F1's. Cost bugger all & fit straight on.
From what i recall, Mike sold the last 2 PH1 172 lumps for about £250-£300 each, so if you have another car to use, & the expertise to swop an engine over, i'd just wait it out and wait for a bargain to come up :)
Argh, nightmare Chris, i must admit, i had an awful feeling we were talking about your car in our pm's yesterday.
I'll keep an eye out for an engine if you like? Mike/me break 172's quite often as im sure you are aware ...
He only asked about how to remove them so he could clean underneath though
So he wouldnt want to leave the runners in place either would he :P
The full seat removal process is the same, with the same leads & nuts under the car. I know, i've had 4 of the damn things lol
1. Jack the car up.
2. Remove dust covers from near sills, undo 2 nuts on either side
3. Remove 4 nuts from within heatshield next to exhaust.
4. Pull out seats - after removing airbag connector underneath.
(The nuts you need to undo)
(The airbag connector)
Takes about 10 minutes for both...
There's a huge difference lol.
On normal tyres, my friends and i are all very similar speeds on track - all 172 cups/182's/my trophy.
When they are on R888's i cant keep up, at all.
I could put sticky tyres on my mums 206cc and be quicker round a track than a Trophy on PE2's.
Hence why i dont run R888's. Takes half the fun/skill away from peddling a car quickly.
Where exactly? These are the only references to CS, one is probably in relation to the board layout, & the other, well the user obviously didnt get on with someone in the admin team.

Unless its done on the same day, back to back, without any changes in rr calibration/humidity/temp whatsoever, your graphs prove absolutely nothing im afraid. Im not being a ballbag, thats just fact.
Its a nice exhaust, but doesnt give 8.5bhp. Unless your original one was fubar'd.
