I totally agree with Gary on this the cheap kits are made to a budget. I have had expereince with the KW range and tbh the information that we have had back from the customers is positive, but if you are in the market for a top spec kit which will work well on track as well as road, i...
Well done. The site is excellent it has been well worth the wait.
Just got to get my arse in gear and the credit card primed ready for use.
You still based just outside Cambridge? if so i may pop over when i have a spare minute.
On a sensible week i can normally see around 27/29Mpg.
But i have been known to drop this all the way down to around 19mpg which was a little scary.
TBH when i owned my 1.4 16v Clio which i used to abuse big time just to get it places i would only see 34mpg, in the summer when i had the...
Mine was missing when i went to look at the car a few weeks before I picked it up.
When i questioned them about it, they said it was not a standard part on the Trophy and i had to pay for one. To which i procedded to tell them that if on the day i picked the car up it didnt have one fitted i...
Now that would be telling.
But as it is you......
I ordered it from work (www.espdesign.co.uk) £20.61 Down side is it takes 4 weeks to make.
If you want one give me a ring at work and i can order one for you.
the fit you need is 90Degree Elbow...
I have just ordered a nice red Samco elbow joint to get rid of the horrible black one which conncets to the Airbox.
Was lookingto get the rest of the hose sorted but tbh it looks like to much effort and once fitted half of the hoses are hidden.
I am also getting the ECU remaped at the end...
NIK the anti theft ones dont work with the Clio connection, as the screw fixing is a female on the car therefore the little grub screw that locks into place, is no use what so ever.
I am with Stromba on this one (Shit did i really say that ) if the car is left outside take the aerial...
it is in the way that the control unit fits to the car.
The cable is connected to the main wiring harness for the H/U it then goes to the top of the dash behind the display panel, this is split into 2 feeds one for the display and the other for the stalk control.
Now i belive that in the...
I havent done it on the Trophy but i did do it on my old clio.
Best places to to it are under the carpet in the boot, in the door panels and the rear quater panels, if you want to go all out you could then put it on the floors.
I makes a big difference, but TBH i much rather hear the...
Fred you look like that all the time :) dont know what your talking about.
As for the autograph I will pass on that for the moment, much rather have the son of clarkson's :P
It is a design fault with all Clios. My old 1.4 had the same issue, it seems to be the way in which the air flows over the car, not a lot that can be done.
If you have checked the door seals and the window seals, and they are fine the only option you have is to turn the stero up a couple of...
If it is the one that i looked at buying it states that it will fit all clio 98+ this is not correct as it will only fit upto 2004/very early 05.
Basically the unit allows you to control the aftermarket Hunit in the same way as you would with the std unit in place, ie volume, track select...
Bunch of theiveing little Twats.
Why cant they leave other peoples property alone, how would they like it if we went up to them and stole their mobile, they would be outraged.
Lets start a new revolt, againts the little pricks that cause us hassle.
OUR SURVEY SAYS EH EH!
On the Trophys it is a fixed height due to the Recaros, nothing you can do unfortuanlty, well apart from getting a set of harnesses that you know you want.
I dont belive there is I know that Lee has been in contact with a couple of companies, and i have also been contacting a dealer that i know locally regarding this issue, and as of yet they have nothing available for the Alpine Units.
I would seem as if the manufactures wont bother with the...
When i saw those photos for the first time, i was apparant that without the harnesses the accident could of been alot worse. At the end of the day a couple of broken thumbs badly sprained wrists and a nasty bump on the head was the outcome.
If that is not enough of a reason to get harnesses...
I would suggest looking at one of the Remaps which BB Tuning, Yozzasport etc do.
This is a much better option than a super chip and works out at the same price.
Have a word with Nik he has just had the Group N ECU Upgrade done. From what i have heard the difference is very noticable.
YOZ it always the same, you spend time advising people and telling them about different issues, and they make out that they knew that all along.
At the end of the day we know that you have all the info and thats all that counts.
It great to hear that the club is getting some free...
PMSL Laughing not supposed to be reved over 5k.
So hang on then Renault put the VVT in for no reason what so ever. Great business sense if your not supposed to rev over/into the VVT set up.
You have to love Renault Monkeys (Whoops that was ment to be Techi's).
I was told that my Clio...
Well i checked the tyres. The two fronts were 26psi and the passanger rear was 24psi but the drivers side was 32psi.
Since sorting them out the car handles so much better, turn in is crisper and general stabiltiy under braking is improved.
Only problem is i seem to be lossing my fillings...
I have heard some really good reviews about these but never really thought about it.
I am still thinking about getting some harnesses for the car, there are two different fixings available, the first is a bolt eye, which you would need to undo the bolts which the belts fit to at the moment...
I cant remeber the model numbers off the top of my head, i belive that the Infintiy ones have been superseeded with a newer desing, if you look in Halfords they always seem to have them on offer, i paid around £50 but that was around 4 yrs back.
The CW Speakers i know for a fact are no...
Hi if you are looking for a stealth shef i have a genuine Auto Acoustics shelf for sale looking for £75 for it, it used to be in my old clio but since getting the Trophy i decided not to bother fitting it.
As for speakers the first thing i did is replace the std ones for a set of Cerwig...
As Ollie has quite rightly pointed out, certain professional writers have written that the Clio Trophy is the bench mark.
I have driven the Williams, and it is a lovely car, very touqee, and a lovely drive, But it is an old car and this shows in the mechanical aspects of the car ie...
