Looks fantastic! What do people here use to remove tar spots? I've tried various things but petrol seems to work best! Did my uncle's white 200 last weekend and it came up a treat! :D
I couldn't put in the full fat seats as they'd never be used and think of the extra weight! In the last 2 months I've lost 15-16lbs and I swear my car feels faster!
I'm with Elephant and paid £1394 (I think!) last June @20yo with 2yrNCB and IAM. Already started sweating about the renewal as everything i hear seems to suggest premiums have gone up across the board. :?
I agree with liam1610, don't walk away from a 46k car just because the dampers aren't done. Request the dealer swallow the price of a refurb and if not then walk away.
Enjoy getting her back! :D
I haven't had my dampers done but the car handles amazingly as it is so I'm not going to bother for now. I realise that may sound a little careless but I can't justify the cost just because they *should* be done.
If I notice a deterioration in handling/oil leaks...
Drove 110 this weekend for the first time since November and its like having a new car all over again! Simply a sublime motor; handling, acceleration, sound, driver involvement, phenomenal!
No real point to this post, just thought I'd share my Trophy enthusiasm! :D Now washed and tucked up...
My Dad had a '99 Impreza Turbo from new for 3 years and 48k. Phenomenal car and I wish he still had it so I could have had a chance to drive it. How did yours compare to a Trophy? Which is more fun?
The clutch is pretty heavy in a Trophy but you soon get used to it. Mine also has a carbon splitter and I think it looks a lot better than standard. :)
110 has done 38,769 but I've only done just over 2k since acquiring her in June 2010. I'm just curious as to how well used these cars are on average? Is your Trophy a daily driver or a weekend/summer toy?
Cheers! :)
Don't worry about it just ignore them. I was pulled over once and warned and I haven't done a thing about it. It's ridiculous with the state of this country that they see fit to have a go at someone for their exhaust (when no speeding is even involved). IMO of course.
Happy Christmas to you all when it comes! :D
Haven't driven the Trophy in 7 weeks now, need the snow to melt before uni starts or it won't get out until Easter! :(
Looks great! If I were preparing a Trophy for track use I'd spend the money on brakes rather than getting to 200bhp. I've found the standard setup pretty mediocre. I'm a bit annoyed I didn't just bite the bullet and buy Brembo discs and better pads as changing the discs/pads was the first thing...
Cheers! I'll add it to the list of things I'd like to buy for my Trophy when I have enough money!
Needs dampers done though before I even consider spending money on anything else. :(
What annoys me is the engine noises for most cars are apparently really lame...just like GT4. I've got the game at home but yet to play it. Not awfully excited if I'm honest.
