Mine did have something like what you have describe matt. However after the 12k service all was fine. No idea what they did but it's fixed. Sorry i can't be of more help but get along to your dealer and explain the issue.
Popped down to my local shell garage to get some beer and i noticed a bright red 197 parked in front of me. I didn't have a camera but my friend took a photo on his phone.

The red was so bright...
hope you got it sorted?
On another note your trophy photos are awesome. Did you do those?
EDIT: Just seen the thread in the photos section. Should have looked there first!
Congrats guys. Your efforts are appreciated. I signed up when i had a full fat 182 and after a couple of weeks of reading everyone rave about how good the trophy is i made the plunge and have never looked back on that decision.
Number 494: 14000 miles.
yes it is a bit tight but the thing i like about it is because it's tight your line must be tight and you don't need much speed then just a nice little lift off :)
I'm going tomorrow. Its such a great day out but so much to see in so little time.
I see a veyron will be there! Tis the only hypercar i've not seen in the flesh.
100% standard for me. Unsure how long i'll be keeping it. If i do end up keeping it for a while longer then i'd change the brakes.
EDIT: and possibly a group N ecu.
I've done two trackdays with mine. Bedford GT and Rockingham. Both with BookaTrack and both cost £200. Both days were open pitlane and everyone was pretty laid back. Never waited to get on the track so had as much track time as i wanted.
I've done 260 miles on the track as well as 12000...
sounds like a good laugh. I think i know the roundabout you mean. Lots and lots of fun.
My favourite roundabout on my daily commute is the mayford roundabout just outside woking. I love a little bit of lift off oversteer on that.
No, it was crawley down renault. They are between Crawley and East Grinstead. Nearer to where I live. For main dealers they were actually really good. The people on reception were slow however the service guys knew their stuff and took care of the trophy.
Was amazed that even after a couple...
Am really tempted to change my trophy for one of these. Just need to find one near me and go for a test drive to make up my mind.
Anyone owned one or driven one? If so whats its like?
Thanks
On the road I find it takes corners so well and you can push more and more. However on the track I suffer way to much understeer. Probably down to my driving skills!?! I've got a driving day on monday where hopefully i'll learn something to help me on the track.
lol funny you mention that, new shades purchased yesterday. So vain but hey you gotta look good in monaco especially when trying to chat up wealthy hot chicks at parties.
:D :D
Change the colour of a trophy!!!
Your best bet is to buy a 182 or a 182 cup and put LEDA suspension on it. That will make it a lot of fun. Some of the late 182s/ cups already have the recaro seats in so worth having a look around for one.
Its most likely down to the driver for me to. I'd like go be able to time my laps as then i could try different driving styles through corners etc and see what works best.
Well i've got a brand hatch training day in june. So hopefully i will learn something from that.
Very interesting about the adjustables!!!
Thanks Matt for being the pioneer in this :)
After another understeering trackday with the trophy i'm going to get my camber adjusted as it's just not correct at the moment. Then i'll try it out on another trackday and see how it fairs.
Matt, were your original camber settings massivly different from what renault state? and like oli id be interested to hear what settings your running now.
vava voom: your clio looks wicked. where did you purchase the Leda's from?
I thought the trophy springs were unique in there weight/ strenght and spring so if you change them it could well ruin the handling. Others on here know more about the springs than me. So hopefully they can give you some better detail.
I've started a slippery slope to financial ruin and by that i mean i've started contacting the clio cup racing teams asking if they are selling their cars at the end of the season (as the new ones are due for 07)
Downloading your video now nik. I'm loving trackdays at the moment. In fact im...
i'm tempted to take mine to a specialist rather than a main dealer who'll probably cause more issues like they did on my old 182.
My only fear is when it comes to selling the trophy people still look for full dealer service history!!
