so how loud is the loud orbisoud? I can't find anything telling me and i'm getting tempted to buy one.
EDIT:
Also just to add. I was at Goodwood today and I was noise tested at 5200rpm and it was 92db. So at what rpm does the quiet orbi produce 87db?
I'm still running the stock items so i won't vote but will be interested to see the results as i'll be upgrading in the next month.
Regarding the DS2500s a friend on bmwtrackdays told me people have been giving them bad write ups. With them depositing pad material on the disk which causes...
Good to see others up there to.
I've somehow piled 10k on my daily driver in the past few months!! I must really love driving!!
It'll be interesting to see how the engines fair in the 30s. Hopefully no one else will need a replacement!
I've just joined the 20k mile club. and what better trip to bring the trophy in to the 20's than a trip to brands hatch! Although sadly i wasn't driving round the track.
Who else is a member of this elite trophy driving group? lol
People talk about this but i went to val three years on the trot and had no issues. Nor did anyone i went with! For me val and the three valleys was the best resort i've been to until i did chamonix last year. Love it, best place i've boarded at. Am looking to head over there in feb. Fingers...
Trophy is in the garage today (wasn't able to make it last week). Just had a call from the garage he didn't go in to that much detail but said it requires an air inlet solenoid. I'll find out more details when i pick it up tomorrow.
First of all in reply to the this is normal. Yes i am fully aware of the intial issue while the car is cold and that is something i accept. However my car had been driven 4-5 miles which took around 7 minutes when this happened.
It's not happened since and now the trophy is resting in the...
thanks for the replies guys, I'm going to get a service done on it anyway as it's just over 6k since it's last service. So i'll get them to change spark plugs etc etc. I'll see if it happens again tomorrow. Fingers crossed that it doesn't!! but i'll report back.
Bringing up an old topic here but I've not had this happen on my trophy for many months. A slightly colder morning and the problem has reared its head again. This morning pulling away in 1st I got to 2.5k revs and just as I was about to change it died, changed to 2nd 2.5k revs it died, 3rd 2.5...
I've ordered a couple of new PE's for the front as there were on their way out like chiefbadger says. So it'll be back to normal, well normal for the wet conditions anyway. At the moment with the wet surrey backroads and my old tires 1st and 2nd gear a not really useable even with modulated...
It'd been 20 odd days since my last outing in the trophy due to being busy and the rubbish weather we've been having. However my power steering pump failed on my daily driver (206) so i've been "forced" to drive the trophy. I woke up excited to drive it and got to work with a grin on my face...
I've had the rear out of mine when i needed to put some boxes in the trophy. To be honest the seats are just foam and are probably about 1kg!! Wouldn't have thought it made any difference to the handling however as has been said before you can hear a nice exhaust note with it all removed.
I've not driven my trophy since the pistonheads meet on the 12th of Nov!! I have kept it ticking over and thats it. If it stops raining and we have dry roads i'll take it out as these days my trophy doesn't understand what rain is :)
I've got a day off work tomorrow so fingers crossed for some...
ah ha, thought it was you. Yes nice to meet you to :)
I was using a filter on the lens that cuts out reflections so it did make your car look clean anyway but yes i did also "play" with it in photoshop :)
I have a few others but they didn't come out so well, will have a play with them...
I've got a few photos herehttp://www.zaphosting.net/trophygallery.htm
Plus some more of similar quality on my home pc waiting to be uploaded. Nothing seasonal really though!
My favourite is this one. Wait for it to load then it will resize itself.
Got a new camera on saturday and went out to test it on the trophy.
On sunday i went to a better location than my drive to take some more photos which i shall post up later when i'm home. Hope these don't come out to large! If they do then please just save them locally and preview them in...
lol yup something like that :)
I love seeing puddles and just plowing through them rather than trying to avoid them in the trophy. Wish i'd bought a commuting barge before so my trophy would be a few less miles on it. Nevermind i've got one now.
Oh and i can only get 420ish miles out of a...
