I think it will be cheaper to have the front dampers rebuilt ie gases, oil and seals. They are similar to the one I had on my motocross bike years ago and they just use to rebuild them once the oil had been cooked and the gas had dissapeared.
Just checked and on mine there is no movement. If put a ruler flat on the pipe touching the top and bottom it touches the first ridge on the bumper just above the black exhaust surround perfectly ie all the 3 edges line up together.
I would have liked it to have been white, with red Trophy logos and possibly red wheels like the GT3 porsche. It may have looked over the top with red wheels.
I don't think anyone thinks they are faster than supercars in a straight line. Get them on a tight twisty roads and there faster. A Ferrari would get wedged betwwen the hedges there so wide.
i'm tempted its only 20 miles away from me, it just bothers me that it will stick out and if you want to take it off in a years time its damaged the paint or you can see faded areas where it has been put on. As you say they do get covered in stone chips.
