Back to the real topic, the maxogen is the best induction solution of them all. (I had an ITG panel filter before). It makes a real noticable difference (no not in sound). The car is much more urgent. My first engine mod was the orbisoud and re-map with panel filter which just made more noise...
I'll be there Matt but I don't think you'll be able to see much unless we open the engine up. We can go for a drive though so you can feel the difference they make.
Had the cams fitted yesterday. Took longer than I expected. I got there for 10.30 and finally left at 8 in the evening. A few minor delays but definatly well worth the wait. Thanks to Ben and John for all the HARD work.
The car pulls so much more harder. The most improvement I've...
Thanks George.
Ben said it'll take one whole day to do mine. So I've decided I'm going to stick around there while its done. Will need to be there first thing in the morning.
I'm booked for the 9th with Ben for this work. :D Well only the cams and a re-map as I had the inlets done last time. Can't wait. :D
Third re-map though :x
George I've only done around 9,000 miles. Will mine also need this slightly less ambitious ignition timing map?
Just reached 9,000. Car is 18 months old now so 6,000 miles a year. :(
I have a Golf 1.9 TDI with 85,000 which I use daily which peaked at 75,000. Lovely car and I'm the first owner. :)
My mates CSL has Ohlins remote reservoir dampers in the boot and under the bonnet.
The standard induction in the CSL is amazing. And massive. Takes up half the space under the bonnet.
Entering competition in 2002, the ultimate version of the Clio has rapidly become the benchmark of the Super 1600 class. Used by the official Clio Team as well as private teams throughout Europe (47 cars as at March 2004), it has been collecting titles and victories.
Based on the Clio 1.6...
I've changed just the lines and fluid. Made a nice difference. Going to use up the standard discs and pads a bit more before I go for an upgrade. They're still like new. :x but so are my original tyres. :)
All Renault will do is spray a little WD40 on the catch. Its a waste of time going to them really as we can do this at home in under 2 mins. Oh and they'll also recommend you do the same every 6 months or so.
Renault also do a premium mat set for the Clio. They're black with a small Clio logo on the side. The logo is the same as on the cheaper grey set they do. I had the grey cheap ones thrown in with the car when I bought it but they needed to go.
The premium black ones are of a high quality and...
I'm going for inlets and cams soon. I already have a re-map to go with my induction kit and exhaust. Would anyone know if I would need another re-map for the inlets and cams? Thanks
No problemo. It was a pleasure doing business with you. Hope you're happy with it.
I've always wanted the carbon lip. Just got to get my mechanics (dad and his mate) to fit it on now.
Have always thought about an individual throttle body set up as the next step. The one K-Tec do in particular. http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=1565.
Those Sadev sequential boxes are amazing though.
Someone is breaking a rolled over Clio Cup race car. Wants £4000 for the sequential gearbox. Is it worth it? They cost £7000 when new and he's just spent £2000 on a rebuild.

Won't deny that I'm tempted. How about a Renault...
Mine came ages ago. Well a week ago.
I can't put it on though coz of the darkened windows. :( I also have a Ren-Tech, YozzaSport and cliotrophy.co.uk sticker but they can't go on either. :x
